Jahled Posted January 6, 2003 Posted January 6, 2003 Forgive me if i'm re-hashing an old topic, but does anyone know if there's a way to crate a simple unit rank structure in the game, such as Red Alert's normal/veteran/elite-ranks. This could apply to all units; troops, figthters and the crews of capital ships, increasing their combat effectiveness/stats the more they are used in the game. Just an idea as I spill my Thai-lunch over my keyboard.....heck, i've got a noodle stuck under my return key.... http://www.jahled.co.uk/smallmonkeywars.gif
Tsunami Posted January 6, 2003 Posted January 6, 2003 Do you want to have my coffee-drenched keyboard? Maybe I can find a return key somewhere... I don't think it's doable. Rebellion (afaik) does not keep track of when a unit/ship is built. Someone maybe knows how Rebellion calculates to-hit chances and how to influence this. It's all hopeless but otherwise not very dramatic. - Helme Haffax Englishman: "What do you think of Modern Civilization?"Mahatma Gandhi: "That would be a good idea."
ElvisMiggell Posted January 9, 2003 Posted January 9, 2003 Yes it does, if you open up the details of a ship, it tells you when it was deployed. I don't think it can be done in Reb, but as i understand, Greg's going to do it in Reb II. I hope. Elvismiggell. Strike me down and i will become more powerful than you can ever imagine...
