ElvisMiggell Posted October 9, 2002 Posted October 9, 2002 Okay, so JK2, quite probably the best Star Wars FPS or TPS of all time. However, there are a couple of features missing. Force speed - all very well, but wouldn't it be nice if it slowed Kyle down a little too so that we can really feel like Luke does in SOTE - the rest of the world is moving in super slow mo and he's moving lazily to block/duck/strike etc. Does anybody know of a mod with which we can do this? Or someone who can make a mod or tell us how to do it. Second, has anybody designed a decent series of single player missions, a new campaign so to speak. The double lightsaber cheat (I know, I know cheaters never prosper, but who can pass up on the chance to be Darth Maul, or for the enthusiasts Exar Kun after he turned, anyway...) the cheat is /THEDESTROYER, apparently, but it doesn't seem to work. Any ideas why?Two lightsabers, like Jacen against the Yuuzhan Vong or Anakin vs Dooku, again, any mods folks? That's the extent of my creative imagination for the time being. Any ideas don't hesitate to get in touch.Elvismiggell. Elvismiggell. Strike me down and i will become more powerful than you can ever imagine... Venix Posted October 9, 2002 Posted October 9, 2002 its NOT Dark Forces 3, its Jedi Knight 2, which is the sequal to Jedi Knight , which was Dark Forces 2, the sequal to Dark Forces. Nobody dies a virgin, life screws us all.________________________________________ Venix The Rankless-One

TK421 Posted October 9, 2002 Posted October 9, 2002 Easy. Download the JediMod's, starting from 1 and 1.1 to 4.something! Z'anthr saves the world. Sorry about the mess...
Guest JediIgor Posted October 9, 2002 Posted October 9, 2002 Actually I think there was a mod which let you have two lightsabers, or a dual-bladed lightsaber. I haven't paid much attention to it though, because I can't play online with the new JKII patch. (nice going lec) As for the slow-mo thing... In single-player that's exactly what happens

the_mask Posted October 10, 2002 Posted October 10, 2002 He means Yogi bear and Booboo. Have you never seen this as a kid ? It also was running on that 'Cartoon Network' channel, when it still wasn'tscrambled a few years back. I'm currently playing with the Jedi+ Mod 3.x, which let's you have two lightsabers, a double-bladed, or two doublebladed sabers,... , oh yeah and dualphase sabers (like Gantoris in the Jedi-Academy books). Also you can scale your models, so Yoda will be knee-high instead of the same size as Vader In the newest I had, there was a jetpack code included, for the Mandolorian fans, but the 3.4 version always showed me completely black lightsabers, no matter what I tweaked in the config files, or in the console. So I switched back to 3.0 You can also make bots, that already have, for example a double-bladed saber (there are examples already included). You'll get it here: http://www.jediknightii.net/files/index.php?category=2Oh, 3.5 out already. I'll try this one, the desc. says something about the sabers returned to normal. I hope he means the colors... http://img147.imageshack.us/img147/5183/animated9pn.gifhttp://img146.imageshack.us/img146/1778/reloadedbannerdu8.gifhttp://www.swrebellion.com/images/banners/rebellionbanner02or6.gif
UntimelyDemise Posted October 10, 2002 Posted October 10, 2002 Actually, I was referring to Yogi Berra, the enigmatic baseball player who played for the Yankees. He coined the phrase "It ain't over till it's over" and other double talk phrases. His confusing speech is lengendary, and he is even used in TV commercials. Sorry about getting off topic... ElvisMiggell Posted October 14, 2002 Author Posted October 14, 2002 Jedimod and Jedimod 1.1 are cool, but they're the only one's small enough to download that actually seem to work. Most of the other one's seem to have broken links or not download on many of the sites. Does anyone know of a more recent version which is downloadable, works, and will fit onto a floppy disc (my computer doesn't have net, but my v.old other one does so i have to transfer via floppy.)Elvismiggell Elvismiggell. Guest JediIgor Posted October 14, 2002 Posted October 14, 2002 Download the latest version, and then zip it up into several files, then put it onto several floppies. I'm sure you can do that, because I remember floppies like that. Multiple-ZIP archive, or something like that. Just experiment,
ElvisMiggell Posted October 14, 2002 Author Posted October 14, 2002 What like stick all the readme's and stuff into one zip/floppy, and then the pak or whatever into another? Hmmm, i'll give it a try, but the latest ones are like 3.5mb, and i cant see 2.5mb of that being readme's and info, unless there are multiple paks.Elvismiggell. Elvismiggell. the_mask Posted October 16, 2002 Posted October 16, 2002 No, he means an option in most (or today in every) compression software to create multiple volumes, or sometimes it's called spaned volumes. This just splits up the archive it creates from all the files. When you unpack it again, every single file will be there like before. You don't have to sort the readmes and such stuff. http://img147.imageshack.us/img147/5183/animated9pn.gifhttp://img146.imageshack.us/img146/1778/reloadedbannerdu8.gifhttp://www.swrebellion.com/images/banners/rebellionbanner02or6.gif
ElvisMiggell Posted October 16, 2002 Author Posted October 16, 2002 Aha, i see what you mean, do you lnow if you can do it with Winzip 8.1? Elvismiggell. Strike me down and i will become more powerful than you can ever imagine... Nu kyr'adyc, shi taab'echaaj'la Not gone, merely marching far away
the_mask Posted October 17, 2002 Posted October 17, 2002 It should work, well it did when I last installed Winzip (7.0 I think), since then I used Power Archiver which was free during that time and much easier to use. You should see the span-option in the -add to archive dialog (lower left), or what the name is respectively in Winzip nowadays. http://img147.imageshack.us/img147/5183/animated9pn.gifhttp://img146.imageshack.us/img146/1778/reloadedbannerdu8.gifhttp://www.swrebellion.com/images/banners/rebellionbanner02or6.gif
ElvisMiggell Posted October 17, 2002 Author Posted October 17, 2002 Checked out Winzip earlier today, looks like it'll work.By the way i've finished Destiny's Way, it's good, it's very good.
