Question

Posted

G,day all,

just a quick note to say that I'm hooked on this game! I received my copy last week. You have to work harder than a sailor in a brothel to keep track of everything, well for me anyway.

Question: If I install a card, will the new one overwrite an existing card or will it be a new addition to the game.

Thanks for the help

Welcome aboard!

Unfortunately, the number of ships, characters, troops, etc. is fixed and cannot be extended (at least, not yet - I'm starting to think there are no enhancements that are beyond the capability of the guys on this board!). So if you use Rebed to install a new card, it will replace what was in that slot. You can use Rebed to first save any cards you plan to replace. Also, the original game cards are available as downloads from this site if you ever need to get them back without reinstalling SWR.

And as i'm sure you've seen, not only do we have a few thousand cards, we're also working on models.

Welcome to our world, enjoy. :D

Haven't you checked the cards link in the main menu?
Sigh! Yes, I have, Trejiuvanat. But my question was whether there are actually a few thousand cards in that section.

Hmm perhaps we should!!!

We definetely should!!!

Contact the nearest Imperial advertising agency on Kuat.

Somewhere near Sluis Van, a freighter comes out of hyperspace. As it prepares for docking with the shipyards. Rok Nutl, the pilot reads on the some cruiser.

Please the Emperor, visit swrebellion.com over 3000 cards.

Later back on Bilbringi.

On the back of a stormtrooper.

You will visit swrebellion.com. I have forseen it.

 Yes, but I was thinking more in the line of a banner...

You want something more than stormie advertisment?!?

I banner would be very a good.

But,

most of the sw gamers around:

A) don't play rebellion anymore

b) never bought rebellion

c) don't know what a card is

d) are afraid of Zoot.

If you anonunce that we have 3000+ cards, you need to make sure first they do know what a card is.

most likely they'll think of CCG card stats or somthing like that.

Considering the fact that this website is already bannering:

A) don't play rebellion anymore

b) never bought rebellion

Then why banner at all?

c) don't know what a card is...

Come on, Trejiuvanat! Think in marketing terms here! Or, in your case: think! Of course telling people we have 3000+ cards is going to get us nowhere. What just might get them here is the fact the SW Rebellion costs virtually nothing (although LEC will still charge you $29.95 for it, shipping and taxes not included) and that we have 3000+ ships, characters, troops and facilities to the game. :D

We have to increase the limit for the message "recruitment done"

Thats important so we can add personal cards without replace existing cards

So, what you're saying is that you've been able to add personnel cards without overwriting/replacing others. You're furthermore stating that you've discovered that these added personnel are recruited as well but that the limit on how many personnel you can recruit is fixed (i.e., after recruiting, say, 20 characters you still get the message recruitment done and you can't form any more recruitment missions)?
