spaceguy19 Posted December 30, 2004 Share Posted December 30, 2004 okay i have tried to play online a few times. the first time was a few years back on the msn gaming zone. it worked okay, but i found that sometimes the game would crash at the start of a battle. I remember that from playing on the Zone. The best way to deal with it at the time was to save every 20 or so days. There is, however, another way: I used a crash recovery program, but I am not sure whether this program will function with Windows XP. I have not had the chance to play Rebellion multiplayer with Windows XP yet, but at the time the program worked quite well, surprisingly. I was running Windows 98 and used Norton Crash Recovery. When a crash occurs, it actually let you select an option "recover". It actually worked, and it would allow you to resume the game without any crashes. Like I said, since I haven't played Rebellion with Windows XP (noone seems to be around to play, if you play, PLEASE add me to your list: baron2100@msn.com, I'll be around all day Friday). For now, until there is another solution, save the game every 20 or so days. The crashes don't occur very often when they do occur. Another good suggestion would be to close off anything unecessary.
