I havn't actually touched most of these models since around 2002/2003 - that being said, this model (as well as the other) in 2001. I was actually surprised that they came out pretty good all things considering.

 

And I found a P-Tower I did as well - this has had some smoothing done to it though before I re-rendered it

I innitially like FC but got overcome in the end with the tricky interphase; it didn't seem to ever get easier the more I played the game, which was compounded by the fact the levels were getting harder!

Been too long - though, considering I'd just started modelling - I'd say a long time, like a week or more, and then a long time after that "tweaking things" for the tank every now and again.

The hover craft, and P-tower took considerably less time - like a day each if memory serves me right (which it rarely does )

Here's a new A-Wing I've been working on (sort of like the XJ X-Wing in concept, and it has an S-Foil!). It's currently just a concept model, hence the mixture of low and high poly modelling.

 

All I goto do now is add some Concussion missile launchers on it somewhere

So, what are the new "stats" on that bad boy going to be ?

Hmm, stats . . . Well, I was thinking of making it 20 times faster than the original A-Wing, make it out of the armour used on the Sun Crusher, give it two super lasers, a couple of Uber missile launchers, 1 . . . no 2 planetary shield generators! And

*smacks self on the head*

 

Umm . . . to much red cordial for me

 

Seriosuly though, I was going to keep with the interceptor theme. Upgrade it's armour and shielding just a tad, significantly increase speed to compete with the TIE-Defender and give it's firepower a little boost.

Pretty much, it's just a generic upgrade to make it fit better in the NJO peroid, though I was thiking of giving it four small concussion missile (with a total of 12 or 8 shots) launchers instead of the two normal ones . . . just a thought.

I want it to be more like the XJ upgrade over the X-Wing than the XJ3 or series 4 E-Wing. So it's not going to be a really huge upgrade with every aspect upgraded to the best possible equipment available.

 

With a few touch ups on the model and some basic texturing, I might be able to make a fighter card out of this . . . . just don't hold your breathe

You can name your modified A-wing the "Super A" (sorta of like the F/A-18 Hornet and its upgrade the Super Hornet).

 

Any ideas on a "Super B" (modified B-wing)? Then (of course) I have to ask, what about the rest of the alphabet?
