DarthTex
Nice work K. As usual, you leave me feeling worthless with your skill. It left me feeling thirsty ... now where is my water bottle? Great job Krytos! I wish I could do stuff like that. But you know what they say about old dogs and new tricks ... we fall asleep before we can finish the new trick Finally, after years of hard work I am the Supreme Sith Warlord! Muwhahahaha!! What?? What do you mean "there's only two of us"?
Mad78
Nice work Kryt. Darth_Rob
Nice work Kryt. Bet you used splines Now I dont have one freakin clue as to what a spline is. At first I thought it was the word spine, then looked and saw the l. Then i said, "hmmm...maybe that means spanish line?" Nevertheless, I have no idea what you just said, or what I just said for that matter. Your feeble skills are no match for the power of the Dark Side! Defender_16
Could I get someone to make me a IFV, with two turrets, based on the Canadian LAV III? Pic of an LAV III 2 Turrets? How would that work? Are you thinking one on each side or an in-line setup?
Krytos
Nice work Kryt. Bet you used splines Correct, most things started off as a spline lathed into a polygon tube shape. After that, I added an edit poly modifier so I could tweak the shapes and then finished off with a turbosmooth modifier. There's a few smaller details that can't be seen, such as the thread on the bottle head and the cap on top of that. Those were hard to make. EDIT:http://img168.imageshack.us/img168/4041/waterbottleclosebg2.th.jpg Edited May 9, 2007 by Krytos http://img146.imageshack.us/img146/1778/reloadedbannerdu8.gifhttp://img152.imageshack.us/img152/1333/3dartistbanneranimationws1.gifhttp://img154.imageshack.us/img154/4026/rebellionbannerdi2.gif
tacoJoemeru
Well, I was gonna stretch the body, and put a CROWS on the back. But I decided to use an M113 body instead of a LAV III chassis. But thanks anyways! I might ask for another soon! "The Chimaera is at your command, Admiral." —Captain Gilad Pellaeon
Jahled
How bored were you Krytos to work on a plastic bottle? Anyways it's very woo. DarthTofu
What's with all the blood dripping down her... Umm... face. Yes, her face... What's with it? @Krytos: "Wet Water" lol @Rob: Splines are essentially arcs, I think. You draw a line and then "edit" it, taking certain points along the segment and moving them to new locations, resulting in the rest of the line moving. They can be very useful for making circular shapes as you can just draw up one half of the profile of the shape and then revolve it around a central point. 12/14/07Nu kyr'adyc, shi taab'echaaj'la Not gone, merely marching far away
