Umm, not even close, it's a couple of hundred dollars, but there is a 30 day trial version. It's a great plugin if you need to do liquids/fluids. No problems there, I can't say I'm a fan of pirating, but I also can't say that I agree with paying thousands of dollars for software that's buggy and flawed. Well, at least when you're trying to learn it and build up a portfolio ... Anyway, try the Gimp software for something a little above Paint. I persuaded the head of our department to get in Photoshop CS and it was installed yesterday! What a program, and I thought PS version 7 was awesome! Still I hope that new titans will rise someday and make the market more diverse. Gimp is a nice try. Atleast something. I think the success of Firefox could be adapted here somehow.
