The Rapora Wars TC

Some of the longtime members of the forum may remember the Star Trek vs Star Wars thread, well in those episodes we met a new race and enemy for the Star Wars Univers, the Rapora. Then in the RPGs we have created a relatively active Rapora War RPG. Now to complete the series of Rapora things, work has begun on the Rapora Wars Total Conversion in the Reb Design Bureau II, but project Rapora Wars needs help.

 

Rapora Wars is a total conversion for SWR that moves the period of war up thirty five years, as in thrity five years after Yavin.

 

Currently we need Card Makers, Conceptual Artists, and basic artists. If you're interested please post. Later on we'll need some more talent for other things including voice talent.

I'd love to contribute as a card-maker or conceptual artist if I can find the time. Remember that's a big IF. Every spare minute I have I need to relax and to prepare for the next day of snow, wind and uni. And, honestly, most of the time I can't find the patience to do something not completely useless.

 

I'll go find that T-65R pic if you still need it. Not much work to be done there.

 

EDIT: There. After my next test on monday I'll go finish the other bmps that go with this.

And are the interception fregates (the ones i mentioned in the first arrival of Garik on Gorath) going to be present?

Maybe, if you could give me some stats for the ships, right now the GFFA uses Corellian Frigates those could be replaced. I'm rapidly running out of openings for ships on the GFFA side.

 

Everything I've posted so far is rather old, as in five or six weeks old.

 

On the Mara Jade thing, the image I'm using is the 'official' Mara Jade that Lucas has put his stamp of approval on, she looks alot closer to the way I imagined her from books. But hey, thats personal preference.

 

I'm still working on the design for the Savla, but right now I've got a sixteen page report to write...

Get ready for a choc but that pic IS the official Mara but with a different hair cut. I am not lying on that point.

 

Well how to say the ship is slightly longer than the Gallofree transport and is heavily armored and armed for its size.

It has four heavy turbolaser turrets, eight light anti fighter turrets and a missile launcher.

I may make a model of it and post it to you.

Any you haven't given me an answer on the replicator side do you want me to make one?

I never liked that Mara picture. I found this, even if its a drawing, the best Mara image around.

My only gripe is that it doesn't work nearly as well with the backgrounds I'm making as the other on, personally I like that drawing allot better then any of the look alike people. Still, it doesn't work as well with the backgrounds I've made so...

 

Um... Mad the Raporan Replicator is replacing the Death Star so it won't need a model.

It's the Defender class Destroyer from the Warlords Mod.

Nope, I didn't mean that one. Check the link it should work now. The picture wouldn't work with the Rebellion-like poses for Cards, but it's one of the best drawings out there.

 

I find that the drawers on the Japanese covers on the books are better than the ones LFL uses everywhere else.

You will find, it's quite difficult to get the right pictures for a tc. Working on Reloaded, I even had to draw some characters from scratch.

 

I agree Trej. I've found some superb japanese book covers too. They did those excellent Booster Terrik pics, or Mara Jade pics too. As for the SW comic book covers from the states, they are just boring and typical.

What the comic book is that? I dont own it, and its going to bother me until I do, So i need to know the name of it.

Not a comic it's simply the book cover, books sometime are split in other countries. SQ and NJO:TUF were split in two in Japan, the Hand of Thrawn Dulogy was made a Trilogy in Germany.

Well, Rapora Wars is sorta like Lazerus it dies and rises again...and again...and again.

 

This thing would get done alot faster if I wasn't constantly sidetracked and if I had alot of help on the cards front, especially the character cards.

I'm going to ask that everyone currently in the RPG submit an image for their character if they haven't already. I'm touching up on the Seryk Roygher card. Even with your cards added to the mix I need alot more. Obviously I'm going to need to add some Raporan, Vagaari, and Aklasp characters in order for the RPG to even come close to equallity in characters. If you'd please send me any ideas you have for these characters.

 

Any help would be greatly anticipated and would help to keep this project alive.

I've had some progress on the mod and I'd thought I'd share a small sampling of what I'd completed so far.

 

First up is a portion of the Character Cards I've created. Note: I have created cards for the RPG characters of Oreton and Hirotek, none of these cards have been included.

Next is the craft cards, now I've included an example from most of the major factions and corporations in the RPG. However I have not finished any for the Mandalors and the Vagaari aren't in the display (Because they're relatively minor once in battle)
