GL Setup

I only have 128,as any reviews of video cards that I have read state that the extra 128 of RAM doesn't increase performance, and in some cases lower it a little. I wouldn't reccomend getting a video card with 256 of RAM.

Kingston or Corsair are known as good brands. I have the latter and am quite satisfied with it.

Go with whichever one is cheaper. The difference in performance isn't substantial enough to make a real difference.

Well I don't know, if they also ship over to other continents, but since you live practically next door Mad, you could also look for an Infineon one.

They are made by Siemens and I built these candy bars in every pc my family has, with no outages at all. Well, there was this one time, when lightning struck, but ... hey  (it also wasn't my pc  )

 No problem.

I also read recently, that my finally arrived, new replacement board (GA-7NNXP Ultra) works not well with Corsair bars.

The reason for this eludes me though :?

Oh well, I'll have to see how this new dual channel RAM feature will improve the quality in Doom III

Is it a PCI Express card. I ask this because if you have two 6800 cards you can use the SLI technologie.

The point of this one is to get two IDENTICAL cards to work in dual for improved performances.

But why buy 2 expensive cards? The idea is to buy one and when the prices go down buy a second. :D
