Guest Scathane Posted October 5, 2004 Posted October 5, 2004 They have been pretending to do that for the past three or four decades... History goes on to prove that corruption generally doesn't last... Keep faith my friend!

Trejiuvanat Posted October 5, 2004 Posted October 5, 2004 The General Secretary of the OEA (Organization of American States, continental organization) is a former Costa Rican president: Miguel Angel RodrÃguez. During his mandate, the Costa Rican Institute for Electricity and Telecommunications awarded the contract for cell-phone lines to Alcatel. It has been recently discovered that Alcatel paid a considerable prize to the Costa Rican government for choosing them over Sony Ericsson and Siemens. About 60% of that prize went into the personal bank account of that president. Miguel Angel, of course, denies it and refuses to renounce his position, despite the overwhelming proofs. The public prosecutors are analyzing if they can demand him, in his position as General Secretary, and if they cannot, the Costa Rican President will ask his renounce to the OEA directly. Much of the same is expected to be unconvered if they analyze deeper into the awarding of the ADSL contract to Sony Ericsson. Of course they were awarded to Sony Ericsson, only after Sony Ericsson invited the director board of the Institute of Telecommunications to a week-long vacation in Prague. And another wealthy prize. http://www.swrebellion.com/~jahled/Trej/banner.gif

Mad78 Posted October 6, 2004 Posted October 6, 2004 In Switzerland we don't really have that problem since who is President is not always clear. And the goverenement has a nice amount of money anyway. But in our Canton they still find a way to drastically cut the education budget. http://i15.photobucket.com/albums/a359/Mad78/Palpycard.gifhttp://i15.photobucket.com/albums/a359/Mad78/Spamkinguserbarcopy.jpgCLICK HERE IT IS VERY IMPORTANT!!!Click here is you like Trance
