Question

Here in Latvia it is impossible to obtain a copy of Star Wars: Rebellion. Could someone PLEASE give a link where to download it through the Internet (FTP or something). Please, I'll die without it (not a joke) :(:(:(

I have 2 problems with that:

1. I don't have a credit card and it would take me a hell lot of time to get one (legal issues, etc.)

2. I'd have to wait ~2 months until it would get to Latvia (from previous experience)

I might do that if nothing else turns out, but is there truly no place on the Internet where I could simply download the game in a matter of hours???

The problem is that downloading the game would be illegal. So nobody here can help you with this.

But Amazon can also get the money from your bank-account, at least they accept this kind of payment in Germany.

And waiting two months isn't that bad, it'll give you plenty of time to get ready in eager anticipation of the greatest game of all time. :)

Screw the legal issues, I agree to hacker philosophy. I KNOW where to download the game via FTP, however it's very slow (2 kb/s). If anybody needs the link - e-mail me, I will not post it here, there are too many people who are against piratism

Ok, i've got to change my apparent-tune on this one and agree with Evaders99 on this one. Despite the frustration of the game not being commercially available anymore for you guys who don't have a copy, it is available online out there! My two previous posts detailed my finding of two copies, and that was in ten minutes of google-searching! If you're determined to get a copy of Star Wars Rebellion/Supremacy you can.

On a more serious note, i'm quite anxious for swrebellion.com to keep going. It concerns the first game I installed on my first PC; whose appeal has outlived the various Command & Conquer titles, seen and gone Force Commander, Rogue Squadron, homeworld, the delta force series, and many other games. It's no accident Supremacy has remained on my hard drive! It's continuity is now being rewarded with progressive face-lifts for the game; new ship models, easily imported into the game, and progressive projects I assume inspired and molded by the forum contributor's imput and ideas. All of this is injecting a very healthy dose of life into a game long since abandoned by it's dollor-visered creater....and there I think Evaders99 has a valid point. Lucasarts arn't entirely blinkered idiots. They're a commercial arm of an outfit a year or two away from releasing the most anticipated film in cinematic-history, the final installment of the Star Wars saga! Check out the shear volume of Star Wars games Lucasarts have been releasing; it's astonishing! The more so because recent titles such as Jedi Outcast and Rogue Squadron II have actually seen the quality of their products, how shall I put it; resume 'normal,' levels. (>shear excellance!) Their not dumb enough to leave Rebellion's genre out in the dark...to the Star Trek loby. Nope! You can bet your two big-toes their money-motivated game interests will turn it's doller-fueled fury back to unfinished business...

Given you can get a copy of the game reasonably easily on the internet, lets bury this topic, throw our flowers, and be happy this web-site isn't a forum advocating anything Lucasarts might consider 'undesirable,' to their commercial-interests, and subsequently being closed. Stalingrad would be pale in significance...

Try to find it with peer-to-peer programs.

Best wishes

Before you post, it is probably a good idea to check the date the last post was posted. This thread is over a year old ;).

History is on the move, Captain. Those who cannot keep up with it will be left behind, to watch from a distance. And those who stand in our way will not watch at all.
