Right according to my extremely confussed notes this is how things stand. I would dearly love any of you to actually travel to London and see first hand the 'disorder' that is my HD, then you might understand why I can seem confussed from time to time. Anyway, the above is what i'm reasonably confident we have achieved together and has been done. Excellent. All this onlife stuff is both amuzing and a learning curve in that about twice as many of us raised their arms to do stuff (at times on numerous occassions) but have ultimately come forward with sod all. Kinda like learning the difference between the weeds and the grass, but anyway.

 

Evaders has been gracious enough to enable everybody who contributed above to the Reloaded forums, just on this context.

wow this all sounds really awsome...I'd like to help out any way I can. I'm not too sure where y'all are at right now so i'll just give you a quick summery of my experience.

 

I have some experince in 3D modeling and the like, as well as work with photoshop. I have absolutely no experince in making sound files. Although i do have a working mic. (and a gamer girlfriend who i'm pretty sure would love to help if y'all still need a female voice) but someone would have to show me the ropes there. I know a little (not much) about programing and such, but probaly not enought to be much help. and most imprtantly, I've been playing rebellion (and loving it) for quite a few years.

Cool! In all honesty we've neglected the sound side of things of late, but as my previous post up and above outlines, there is still stuff to be done. Simply chasing the tactical lines in exhausted me enough to virtually quit. Loads of people promised this and that and half proved to complete thin air! Anyway, such is online life.

 

Kaja, record me something simple relating to what you hear in the game at any point, and blast it my way just so I can grasp how you sound. Keep the file packaged up with a rah file and smallish, i've not got broadband at the moment, and we'll see where we can fit you in.

Photoshop skills most welcome as far as i'm concerned! And that goes for anybody out there who is confident with such imaging skills. Things on this front have slowed of late due to real life being so rude as to impose itself on our beloved game and upcomming mod! But I will be frank. Most of the upfront stuff you would want to work on, like ships, troops, characters, has almost been done (with a view outstanding exceptions), so whilst you would be free as an equal to comment and thus cintribute on anything once you see the fabled depot, your efforts would be chiefly directed at the .dlls you see ingame, and similar. You will of course need to know how to use the resourcehacker tool, and an understanding of what it's uncovering in the game. Give me a an email if you want to establish anything.

Me is not this project's boss or what not, otherwise I would have faded into cyberspace long ago. There is only one Mask as far as the models go. There is only one La_Forge as far as the artwork goes. For detail, Trej's rescripted and reshaped galaxy is to beheld. I appreciate Reloaded is taking bloody ages but stay the course; to much has now been put into it to achieve nothing. But give me a shout if you think you can help out.

Heyyy, my first SWRebellion post since September (I think)!

 

I was sure I was watching this topic and there is a link at the bottom that says "stop watching this topic", but I haven't received any notifications of recent posts... Huh. I'll get caught up with this thread tomorrow.

 

Anyway you posted a couple of weeks ago about the voice work, and it looks like I delivered on the "Imperial Green Group" and "Imperial Task Force Five" but never did deliver on the "Alliance Red Group"... if you still need this just say so and I'll work on getting it to you before next Monday.

Reloaded is on the move, I can tell you. For celebrating this post count, we already sent some screenshots to Evaders, and they'll be soon online in the news section

 

Don't expect too much though, since our work is mainly changing graphics and stats, and not any engine related stuff, we want to keep it a secret.

 

We'll try to write some percentages in the future, to keep you people informed.

 

For now, what I can tell is:

 

Character card progress:

Overall: 46/60 cards done (new pictures and stats)

All major characters and all NR characters are finished. Some text missing and stats to be tested though.

 

The last 14 imperial cards will be a bit more difficult though, since there are some character we have to make from scratch, that means, Reloaded will visualize these characters for the first time ever!!

 

Troops

 

DONE

 

That's enough for now. Just imagine that, since almost every image and model will be replaced, you'll get a whole new game with this TC for sure

Some designs were changed too, like the GUI on both sides, and so on...

 

Ship and model progress remains hidden for now, but thanks to our modelers, there are some awsome ships for tactical included.

Wow I am in awe of those Reloaded pictures posted on the main page. I love the picture of the Noghri; first Noghri picture I've ever seen that I like.

 

Jahled man, I'm sorry that I've taken weeks longer to get those voice files to you than I said I would, and I know it sounds familiar, but I got half of them done and then I had to drop everything for a while because I had two exams in six days. I also got a little bit obsessed with my latest round of Rebellion editing. So I will be working on finishing them up today.

Besides it is a perfect time for it! There is a loud generator rumbling away across the street, the steam radiator in my room is whoosing and knocking and whistling, and my African Grey parrot (alone in the living room) is beeping and screeching like a demented Artoo unit.

In other words, the ambience of a Rebel starfighter cockpit is being provided!

And if you've been playing it THAT long, you'll absolutely LOVE RebEd. Download it, tweak the settings, load some cards...and you'll be forever hooked. Er...or at least moreso than you already are.
