Barkoa Posted August 30, 2004 Author Posted August 30, 2004 I think he looks alright. A reasonable transformation in process... He does look a bit like Frodo though... "Be at peace, for the force is my ally and I shall not let anything happen out of my contol."-Barkoa
Vero Posted August 30, 2004 Posted August 30, 2004 Lol that is what i thought....frodo on Mount Doom. Looks just like him.
Mad78 Posted August 30, 2004 Posted August 30, 2004 Its after you see the film that you find out they ditched Haydn Christnesen(sorry about the spelling ) and got Elija Wood in sted (sorry but the names are weird) http://i15.photobucket.com/albums/a359/Mad78/Palpycard.gifhttp://i15.photobucket.com/albums/a359/Mad78/Spamkinguserbarcopy.jpgCLICK HERE IT IS VERY IMPORTANT!!!Click here is you like Trance
Guest JediIgor Posted August 30, 2004 Posted August 30, 2004 Barkoa said: You gotta watch the Clone Wars mini series. Its 20 episodes of 5 min each. Their sooooo cool! But #20 really had me disturbed. It has 5 -6 jedi masters and knights being wiped out by Grievous. He's a droid with like a biological brain, so he has super-fast movement and creativity and cunning etc. He wears the belts of his defeated jedi as trophies! Do a search for him and try to get a hold of the mini series. i think you can get it on like Cartoon network.com or something. They've also released some pictures of him, so a google image search should help! Ep III is gonna be wicked with him in it. I have a theory he'll be the one to beat Mace Windu! Let me know of anything else you find out! That sounds really disturbing, a Jedi should be able to use the Force to make the robot implode on himself, or at the very least something like the Force "Push" Qui-Gon used in Episode 1 .
dmfitz29 Posted August 30, 2004 Posted August 30, 2004 Maybe Grevious has some type of force repellant armor, like the cortosis crystals from Jedi Knight 2 or something.
Barkoa Posted August 30, 2004 Author Posted August 30, 2004 Unless he himself has the force as well! Imagine an almost complete machine with the force! He could have super-fast reaction rates, but also could move his limbs at super-fast speeds and be immune to the force! He'd be unstoppable... SWR Staff - Executive Evaders99 Posted August 31, 2004 SWR Staff - Executive Posted August 31, 2004 Most theories are that he is attuned to the Force. That's how he can hunt Jedi so effectively and combine his biological units to his mechanical ones.... Darth Vader anyone? Your right, I looked into it and apparently he has a double bladed lightsaber also or something like that ala Darth Maul. So obviously he is force aware, thats quite a character. Oh well, Vader is still the best.
Barkoa Posted September 1, 2004 Author Posted September 1, 2004 He wears the lightsabers of his slain jedi as trophies around his belt. I wouldn't be surprised if he hunted sith too! I just want to know why no-one had heard of him for so long! "Be at peace, for the force is my ally and I shall not let anything happen out of my contol."-Barkoa
Mad78 Posted September 1, 2004 Posted September 1, 2004 Look at it like this. It is possible he used to be a great sith during the old republic. But finally he was defeated. The only way to make him survive was to transfer his conscience at the little that remained of his nervous system into a droid body. http://i15.photobucket.com/albums/a359/Mad78/Palpycard.gifhttp://i15.photobucket.com/albums/a359/Mad78/Spamkinguserbarcopy.jpgCLICK HERE IT IS VERY IMPORTANT!!!Click here is you like Trance
dmfitz29 Posted September 1, 2004 Posted September 1, 2004 Yeah, that seems to be the most realistic of the options. Thats still pretty tough man, I cant wait to see him. I also heard a rumor that Gary Oldman would be voicing him, any news on that?
Barkoa Posted September 2, 2004 Author Posted September 2, 2004 That sounds more like it Mad! I just want to see some good guy equivalents. The only problem with that explanation is that why can't the emperor have done it with others like Maul or Dooku? I mean, if you could transfer my jedi brain into a super-fast droid, then I'd say 'where do I sign?' Krytos Posted September 2, 2004 Posted September 2, 2004 Perhaps there were limitations in technology, with the Republic being in a peaceful time - designing a killer droid with a living brain wouldn't be on the top of any R&D lists, or they couldn't find a candidate who wanted to be ripped apart and put into a droid. Were they 100% that it was going to work? How many Sith would be willing to be the Ginny Pigs?Speaking of which, I wonder who trained Grevious? Palpatine? Dooku? Or someone else? http://img146.imageshack.us/img146/1778/reloadedbannerdu8.gifhttp://img152.imageshack.us/img152/1333/3dartistbanneranimationws1.gifhttp://img154.imageshack.us/img154/4026/rebellionbannerdi2.gif
Mad78 Posted September 2, 2004 Posted September 2, 2004 Most likely Dooku or Palpatine. And people who have read the NJO books will know that that kinda of operation can easily bne kept secret. http://i15.photobucket.com/albums/a359/Mad78/Palpycard.gifhttp://i15.photobucket.com/albums/a359/Mad78/Spamkinguserbarcopy.jpgCLICK HERE IT IS VERY IMPORTANT!!!Click here is you like Trance
Krytos Posted September 2, 2004 Posted September 2, 2004 Ah, good point - no spoilers for others so I'll be discreet, but I'll assume you're talking about the "surprise" on Coruscant in the Enemy Lines series? http://img146.imageshack.us/img146/1778/reloadedbannerdu8.gifhttp://img152.imageshack.us/img152/1333/3dartistbanneranimationws1.gifhttp://img154.imageshack.us/img154/4026/rebellionbannerdi2.gif
NIIIC Posted September 2, 2004 Posted September 2, 2004 In which book those General Grevous come in of the 90563 of them? There are so many.

Barkoa Posted September 3, 2004 Author Posted September 3, 2004 But if they succeeded with one why not make more? I hope his origins stay one of the mysteries only to be revealed in the last movie. The fact files for the original movie charcters told a lot about what they would do, but Grievous is still a BIG mystery. Thats definitely a positive by GL. I just hope he follows through. Grievous's death had better be awesome. I just hope they don't give it some quick fix, like planetary bombardment. I have such a problem with awesome guys dying easily. Maul was pretty dang cool, and he dies before he can really do anything. Disappointing. Grievous had better do more! Mad78 Posted September 3, 2004 Posted September 3, 2004 Grievous also appears in the game "Republic Commandos".which will come out soon. http://i15.photobucket.com/albums/a359/Mad78/Palpycard.gifhttp://i15.photobucket.com/albums/a359/Mad78/Spamkinguserbarcopy.jpgCLICK HERE IT IS VERY IMPORTANT!!!Click here is you like Trance
NIIIC Posted September 3, 2004 Posted September 3, 2004 And what does he do your general, is he a good guy or a bad guy, i have never heard of him, not that i can say that i know a lot about SW, but if one of your eminences in knowledge or master Jedi or what ever you prefer, Sith maybe, could enlighten me. It would be a bit of a help. And i don't mean YOU Mad, i don't need your nonsense. don’t get Mad Mad, I was just joking.
Mad78 Posted September 3, 2004 Posted September 3, 2004 Grievous is the supreme leader of the Confedaracy millitary. He is 95% droid and 5% Omix-patra. He is originary from Devon. His entire name is General Grievous Shakar. He is one of the greatest enemy of the Jedi. He killed many and to show his strengh wore their lightsabers as trophies. He has 4 arms which enable him to fight with 4 sabers at the same time. He once eliminated 4 jedi at the same time without injury. It is probable he is aquainted to the force. He is also a cunning tactician is is responisible for many of the separatist victories. I think that is about it. Is the description precise anought? http://i15.photobucket.com/albums/a359/Mad78/Palpycard.gifhttp://i15.photobucket.com/albums/a359/Mad78/Spamkinguserbarcopy.jpgCLICK HERE IT IS VERY IMPORTANT!!!Click here is you like Trance
NIIIC Posted September 3, 2004 Posted September 3, 2004 What is an "Omix-patra", it sounds lime like the Latin origin of sticky tape or something.
Mad78 Posted September 3, 2004 Posted September 3, 2004 The Omix-Patra is actually a race. The 5% is mainly brain, nervous system and eyes. http://i15.photobucket.com/albums/a359/Mad78/Palpycard.gifhttp://i15.photobucket.com/albums/a359/Mad78/Spamkinguserbarcopy.jpgCLICK HERE IT IS VERY IMPORTANT!!!Click here is you like Trance
Barkoa Posted September 5, 2004 Author Posted September 5, 2004 True. Mad is well-informed. About this game coming out, when where and how much? Is he an opponent?! That game sounds cool already. I'll look into it more today! "Be at peace, for the force is my ally and I shall not let anything happen out of my contol."-Barkoa
