Mad78 Posted August 10, 2004 Posted August 10, 2004 Okay back to subject.Does AA resemble Operation Flashpoint? http://i15.photobucket.com/albums/a359/Mad78/Palpycard.gifhttp://i15.photobucket.com/albums/a359/Mad78/Spamkinguserbarcopy.jpgCLICK HERE IT IS VERY IMPORTANT!!!Click here is you like Trance
Grand_Admiral_Thrawn Posted August 10, 2004 Posted August 10, 2004 I think it's more along the lines of Ghost Recon, but with better graphics. History is on the move, Captain. Those who cannot keep up with it will be left behind, to watch from a distance. And those who stand in our way will not watch at all.
bobandrubert Posted August 10, 2004 Author Posted August 10, 2004 I have never heard of Operation Flashpoint. It is kind of like Ghost Reconbut it is much funner. America’s Army is one of the five most popular PC action games played online. It provides players with the most authentic military experience available, from exploring the development of Soldiers in individual and collective training to their deployment in simulated missions in the War on Terror. In America's Army: Special Forces, players attempt to earn Green Beret status by completing individual and collective training missions drawn from the Special Forces Assignment and Selection (SFAS) process. Players who complete the SFAS process have the opportunity to take on elite Special Forces roles and are qualified to play in multiplayer missions with units ranging from the elite 82d Airborne Division to the 75th Ranger Regiment. Includes the complete game America’s Army: Operations. Authentic U.S. Army experience — Realistic depiction of the values, units, equipment and career opportunities that make the Army the world’s premier land force—continually updated to incorporate new occupations, units, technologies and adventures. Realistic roles — Including Weapons Specialist (18B), Intelligence (18F), Engineer (18C), Communications (18E) and Combat Medic (18D). Challenging Green Beret training — Complete training missions drawn from the SFAS process at Fort Bragg. Successfully complete SFAS and advance to Special Forces Qualification Course (Q-Course) missions to explore new Special Forces roles. Intense Special Forces action —Experience multiplayer missions in simulated combat environments. Take part in missions that span the capabilities of a Special Forces detachment, including unconventional warfare, direct action, surveillance and reconnaissance and Combat Search and Rescue. Detailed Special Forces equipment and military hardware — Building on the equipment available in America’s Army: Operations, America’s Army: Special Forces adds the M4 Carbine featuring the Picatinny rail mod system for attaching laser-aiming devices and sighting systems; the MP5SD6 Remington 870 shotgun for forced entry; the AT4, a shoulder-fired anti-tank rocket and the BDM, a shoulder-fired bunker demolition munition. Accurate Soldier behavior — Players are bound by the laws of land warfare, Army values (honor, duty and integrity) and realistic rules of engagement as they navigate challenges in teamwork-based multiplayer force vs. force operations. Mission accomplishment standings are evaluated based on team effort and adherence to a set of values and norms of conduct. http://www.americasarmy.com/intel/features.php
Mad78 Posted August 10, 2004 Posted August 10, 2004 As I said higher. these games tend to be too realistic for me and I prefer games like UT were you run into a room firing rockets all over the place while a team mates hoses down te enemies using a heavy machine gun http://i15.photobucket.com/albums/a359/Mad78/Palpycard.gifhttp://i15.photobucket.com/albums/a359/Mad78/Spamkinguserbarcopy.jpgCLICK HERE IT IS VERY IMPORTANT!!!Click here is you like Trance
Grand_Admiral_Thrawn Posted August 10, 2004 Posted August 10, 2004 AA is certainly a good game if you like tactical play. there are few games (short of Rainbow Six, though even that falls short) that provide functional team-play. I'll wait for BF 2, as it will be very similar to AA. History is on the move, Captain. Those who cannot keep up with it will be left behind, to watch from a distance. And those who stand in our way will not watch at all.
Grand_Admiral_Thrawn Posted August 10, 2004 Posted August 10, 2004 That is treu, but for me my cons with the game outweigh the fact that it is free, no matter how good the game is. Plus, since the team working on BF 2 will be recieving money for the game, they are more likely to do a better job. History is on the move, Captain. Those who cannot keep up with it will be left behind, to watch from a distance. And those who stand in our way will not watch at all.
Mad78 Posted August 10, 2004 Posted August 10, 2004 Maybe one day I shall download it to give it a try but with Battlefront coming out I think I will be ok. http://i15.photobucket.com/albums/a359/Mad78/Palpycard.gifhttp://i15.photobucket.com/albums/a359/Mad78/Spamkinguserbarcopy.jpgCLICK HERE IT IS VERY IMPORTANT!!!Click here is you like Trance
bobandrubert Posted August 11, 2004 Author Posted August 11, 2004 ok but make sure you try it and in a way you do pay for it in taxes.
Trejiuvanat Posted August 11, 2004 Posted August 11, 2004 I don't think Mad'd pay it in taxes, he's not an U.S. American... I think that U.S. Americans are a minority around here... We've Canadians, Brits, Swiss, German, Australians, Aussies, one Austrian, one Rumanian, one me (Costa Rican), none of which pay taxes or fund "America's Army." http://www.swrebellion.com/~jahled/Trej/banner.gif

Grand_Admiral_Thrawn Posted August 11, 2004 Posted August 11, 2004 I thought Cosa Rica was controlled by the US, like Panama. Maybe not openly, but perhaps covertly? History is on the move, Captain. Those who cannot keep up with it will be left behind, to watch from a distance. And those who stand in our way will not watch at all.
Trejiuvanat Posted August 11, 2004 Posted August 11, 2004 I thought Cosa Rica was controlled by the US, like Panama. Maybe not openly, but perhaps covertly? I am insulted, you probably mean Puerto Rico... But again all the continent, from Canada to Chile is controlled by the Us... O perhaps it is the entire world. http://www.swrebellion.com/~jahled/Trej/banner.gif
Grand_Admiral_Thrawn Posted August 11, 2004 Posted August 11, 2004 I think it was Peurto Rico iwas thinking of. I agree that most of the continent is controled by the US, though that is because of their unwillingness to play fare. The Free-Trade agreement between Canada and the US is constantly violated by the US, simply because we can sell our stuff for cheaper, making thier economy suffer. If it's not good forthem, than they won't do it, no matter what agreements they've signed. History is on the move, Captain. Those who cannot keep up with it will be left behind, to watch from a distance. And those who stand in our way will not watch at all.
Trejiuvanat Posted August 11, 2004 Posted August 11, 2004 Tell me about it, my little stupid country has approved a Free-Trade agreement, with the U.S... http://www.swrebellion.com/~jahled/Trej/banner.gif
Grand_Admiral_Thrawn Posted August 11, 2004 Posted August 11, 2004 Free trade is inherantly good. Free trade wit hthe US on the otehr hand... History is on the move, Captain. Those who cannot keep up with it will be left behind, to watch from a distance. And those who stand in our way will not watch at all.
Trejiuvanat Posted August 11, 2004 Posted August 11, 2004 The problem, at least in Costa Rica's case, is that our economy is very weak. We suffer each time, petroleum establishes a new high-price record so we cannot be competitive in any market. Plus, one of the "conditions" of the agreement is to break up the monopolies we have here (It's a small country, one national institution for electricity and telecoms ain't bad), that'll bring in the rather big companies, that will "enjoy" lots of benefits. "(lower taxes, or no taxes at all, like Intel)... And in the long run will only benefit the companies themselves, and the ruling elite... Intellectual and Middle class will most likely be the most affected, as the state shrinks and the budget for education get drastically reduced... Oh well back to topic. http://www.swrebellion.com/~jahled/Trej/banner.gif
