I personally opt for the nod of the head he gives Boushh at Boba's palace... Although I must admit that I liked a lot of the mystery he was shrouded in during epdisodes v & VI... In that respect I must admit I never liked the first three episodes to explain where he came from...

Well, apart from his Mandalorian armor, it's the way he acts. Calm all the time, doesn't get intimidated( not even by Vader ), his like of destruction and he has a really cool ship

After having a good look at the options, I figured that one sumed up - to an extent - what i was thinking. I was going for the reference to Episode 5 when Boba Fett outsmarted Han, where he also showed off some of his other traits where he confronts Vader, has a short fight with Luke and all the time still has the calmness to him.

Of COURSE he survived the sarlacc! I just saw him at the "Fett Family Reunion" a few weeks back. He gave me a new Trandoshan-skin holster for my blaster carbine. He was the best man at my wedding, too.

 

As for what makes him cool, well it's a variety of things. First off, he just oozes coolness in his armor. And all those gadgets...he's a walking Swiss Army Knife with homicidal tendencies! He's given me a few pointers with my own armor, but I get the feeling he's holding out on a few details.

 

Then there's his attitude...sure, he's standoff-ish most of the time, but you should ask him to tell the story about the bounty on the one-legged Devaronian and the constipated Rhonto! I swear, the way he tells it you'll have tears rolling down your face!

 

Lastly, there's Slave 1. I learned to be a pilot in that thing as a teenager when he'd swing by the house on weekends. Handles like a dream, packs a punch, and is roomy enough to make even the long hyperspace jumps comfortable. You just don't find quality craft like that anymore. Sure, it's not a speedster like an A-Wing or anything, but its definitely got it where it counts. I'm hoping he leaves it to me in his will...

You wouldn't beleive the climate control you have to do while wearing a brass bra. I mean really, can't go out in the sun in it (at least not in San Antonio this week) you get third degree burns, and in the winter -- Whoa Nelly, frost bite in all the wrong places. It is definately an indoor only outfit

I always thought Fett was great because Vader used him. Vader is my favorite character and Fett was not afraid to argue with a Sith lord- that shows insane amounts of courage. Well that's my opinion.-Grand Moff Conway

You know it really isn't confirmed, that he killed the Sarlacc. He escaped with his jetpack, wounding it seriously. Then sometime later he came back to roast it with the engines of Slave1 (Tales from Jabba's palace), but I don't think he really killed it, because of this line with the 'barve'.

The armor is what makes him so cool. Of course the fact that he does not need to say alot to get his point across. One more thing is the no disentegration line. It implise so much.

As for boba fett, I have thought he was cool, but never quite got the attraction. I mean TF pretty much would rate him as one of the coolest characters ever (or at least in the top ten) and I see him as really a small supporting role that has what 11 lines through all three original movies. I don't quite get the fascination. I mean if you are comparing him to the Whiner (Luke), Hans Solo, Leia etc, yeah he definately beats them all out on the cool factor. My thought would be it has something to do with his bravado, and coolness under pressure.
