Requesting help with the model importer

Hiho. Newbie here. I was wondering whether somebody could help me with a problem with the Model importer?

I can extract .x files just fine, although sometimes with the error caused by having just one model file.

However, with regards to the new .rmd files, if I put them in the 'import' folder, and set the program running, I get a 'nothing to do' error.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Thanks,

Alex

The model Importer program is usually reliable, so I guess there's some minor detail you've overlooked! In the mean time the .rmd files can be uploaded into the rebellion engine the old fashioned way!

When you open up your lovely knew ship model from the WinRah and you see the .rmd folder, simply double ckick on it again. Presto, you'll see the close/medium/far.x files for the 301 folder and the textures for the 303 folder. Any problems PM me and i'll guide you through it step by step untill you get there. Sometimes I am very patient; but i've been at the wrong end of stuff like this myself and the frustration is horrible!

Hope this sorts your little problem. :)

Do you have the Resource Hacker files and the Model Importer files in the same folder?
Put an overpowered Solar Ionization Reactor in between two cheap-ass engines and a couple of laser cannon, put a chair with a rudimentary flight control and targeting computer on top, and surround the (unpressurized!) pilot with enough armor plate so he doesn't fry in a tenth of a second... riiiiiiiiight

But remember, then you have to edit the .ini file to point at .\tactical.dll, instead of ..\tactical.dll 8)

Sheesh, I really didn't see that thread and it was started so long ago 8O
