Is Star Wars Battlefront playable only from a 3rd person perspective?

You can play in both 3rd and 1st-person perspectives and it is switchable in-game. We foresee situations (piloting vehicles, etc.) where sometimes it will be advantageous to switch perspectives back and forth so it's up to player preference.

Ok Mad will switch back. Intresting find there Krytos, I usually perfer 1st but I guess 3rd can be useful sometimes.

Just look at battlefield.

It is practical to be 1st person when you are on foot. But it's better 3rd when you are in a vehicule.

I've always liked the B-Wing in any flight sim - it maybe slow, but is strong, powerfuland is manoeuvrable - though 'cause of it's lack of speed you don't notice it as much.

 

Other than that I love the E-Wing series 4, it's great, a much better fighter than even the XJ3-Wing (from NJO), which is a better all-rounder anti-fighter and anti-capital.

I can say that the C-Wing\E-Wing\TIE Defender\

Jedi Starfighter 's cool too, but it won't be very interesting,

since everyone knows they're supreme.

 

At least try to pick something you can use in X\W Vs. T\F...

I could easily pick the TIE Defender, but that's easy since it

has better STATS then everything.

So I picked the TIE Interceptor, which is well rounded but not perfect.

Hmmm, the C-Wing is pretty unofficial. Has it appeared anywhere properly... by which i mean in a game, book, comic, and not as an add on done by an independant as a mod to a game.

From The New Jedi Order, I think I first read about it in the Enemy Lines dualogy (becasue it was mentioned that they added the scatter fire and the new shield technology used on the XJ3s), although I saw at the unofficial star wars encyclopaedia that it was in Star By Star. That encyclopaedia gives several different references to the Type 4 E-Wing, one says after Thrawn and another says developed at the start of the NJO, seems to be the typical fan based... let's explain something to make something really cool that we can pretend Lucas would want to exist, mentality.
