vetman Posted May 12, 2004 Share Posted May 12, 2004 hey rebellion is great....it would be even better if they made a newer version for it or a new star wars game. i had the following in mind.... You spend forces in points (kinda like x wing alliance) but you manage your men in more of a strategy type game, kinda like homeworld but with star wars fighters (because they're way better ) also each unit would have counters, ssd's and daeath stars are more vulnerable to fighter squadrans (because of turbolasers v lasers) carrying heavy bombs and would have huge point values. whereas ships like lancer frigates would be less points and help destroy fighters. The game would be in a 3d type environment and you could assign admirals to ships (ships with admirals give that ship bonus attributes to things like menuverability...etc.... and also give bonuses to ships around it) there would also be different maps and scenarios people could play on. many different force and battle command options and moves and other things. also you of course would be able to control your ships and would have overall command over your forces. during battles your generals would appear in the upper right or left with small cinematics (like piet would appear and if the ship was damaged, you would see things falling off walls in the background as he's screaming for you to give the reatreat command.) after the battle you would have point totals and stuff like that to determine a winner. just a fantasy game i made up in my head kinda day-dreaming in school today during a boring lecture in trigonometry. comments/suggestiong/info on games that lucasarts would be making would be cool. just thought i share my thoughts.
