I would guess all the numbers and stats are taken from the host computer. All other stuff, like names, pictures, sounds etc. are independent. Although this is just guesswork, it would seem logical that the game picks up those things simply by their strrefs or something. So basically my guess is that both get to play the same game with the looks each one has given it on his/(her?) computer. So I'm not that sure about the stats anymore. Would beat up the system, though.
