Has anyone got the new ess. guide to vehicals and vessels ?

The thing is, I got a coupon from Amazon and don't know what to buy, since 'the unifying force' won't be available as paperback until August here

 

I already got the new ess. guide to characters and I really like it, but I don't know if the one for the vessels will have so many new things, since I already got a pretty large collection of 3D models and pictures.

 

So the main thing I'm interested in (besides a full list of the included ships) is, are there all of the Yuuzhan Vong ships in there or not ?

I believe that there's a Vong ship on the CD that happens to come with The Unifying Force. A few other images from that book too. I have the hardback right here in fact.

 

Unfortunately, the same file also has Vector Prime in it. So I can't transfer it. I'll try and get you a screen shot, how's that?

I got 'em both, it's interesting to see how these ships really look. In my imagination the "arms" on the worldship were missing, although I read about them in one of the books.

 

Hmm, I'm getting more and more tempted to buy this book

But since I need something to read in the uni as well, I think I'll also order "Chapterhouse: Dune". The graphic novel of Dark Forces II and Tatooine Ghost will have to wait until next time then

 

Geez, I just wish the hardcover of the ultimate "Hitchhiker's Guide To The Galaxy" wasn't so heavy, so I could take that with me and read it during the sometimes ridiculously long pauses.

I am now in a position to understand why Trej is so strange. Why, only this afternoon I enjoyed one of his arms with some soup.

 

Seriously, i've drawn a line on the New Jedi Order books, and haven't read any further...so glimpses at stuff like that is eye-opening...

What's so stange about them? You can always make a tasty soup of them. What do you think that Yuuzhan Vong eat so they grow strong and tall?

 

I've been wanting to buy the New Essential Guide as well, but I want to first buy the two last books of NJO or Survivor's Quest or a cellphone or a MP3 player...

I have got this book, while it was good, they did take out some stuff, but they include alot of the Yuuzhan Vong (4 I counted plus the Jabitha wich is the fighter made by zenoma sekot for anikan. just incase u didn't know), but they also include some other ships that I was really exited about, for example the K-wing, and the Jade Shadow. It also has a few ships from episode 1 and alot from episode 2. and in the back it has a list of other vehicles and vessles that don't take up a page. the pictures that evader99 posted are acctualy the replacement for the blueprints. and with each ship there is at least one quote about the ship.

 

Overall i'd have to say that it's worth the money

I would've liked some more from the NJO series, like the new stardestroyer designs, or the BAC, but I guess you will always find something, that's missing, if you look hard enough

Well i'm glad you got your copy so quick dude, my local bookstore said it would take two months to get the book here in London, which I find pretty hard to believe... that's the suburbs for you; I do make an attempt to shop local.... not entirely certain why...
