I know there are probably a zillion threads like this already (apologies, and this isnt a one-post thing, I'm gonna stay and become a community member) but I just had to tell evillejedi that this is one of the most excellent mods I've ever played. I downloaded 0.26 today, and the Mediator Battlecruiser and Defender Star Destroyer are utterly awesome. Thank you for giving a Star Wars geek the opportunity to live out his naval battle fantasies

 

Looks like a fun board. Think I'll be around awhile.

 

On that note, I have a few questions.

 

What source images do you use for the starships? I recognize how you might be able to find images for common ships (I.E. MC-80, ISD) but what about the ships such as the Mediator and Defender? Original designs? I see an Archer Cruiser on the shiplist, and I recognize that ship from a SW Roleplaying community I used to frequent.

 

Either way, exemplary and awesome ship models and textures.

i know for a fact that most of his infomtion came from Westwoods RPG game, which i told him was wrong cos it said a SSD was 8km long he didnt believe me

The great thing about the Mediator is that when I read NJO that was EXACTLY how I imagined the Mediator. A giant, awesome Mon Cal cruiser. And the Mon Remonda looked awe-inspiring too. I was daydreaming today and I was the captain of the Remonda and I was next to an Impstar Deuce (ISD II) trading broadsides.

On issues of Star Wars canon stuff:

 

7. DO NOT recommend references unless the material it is not contained in official literature (books, movies, comics, games, RPG) or star wars technical commentaries, unless your source is more repuatble and correct than these I will not consider it. (IE no fan made stuff)

 

And second...

note: I may do things that violate current cannonical conventions in the mod, these are for the best. (mon cal naming or executor length for example) accept this and move along peacefully, I have my reasons

I really wasn't being serious. But my feeling is that Eville knows what he is doing. Complaints are good, but solutions are better.. as in, learn to do things yourself if you want them done
