Trejiuvanat Posted May 19, 2004 Author Posted May 19, 2004 This whole tea-talk reminded me: "Can't any of you figure out if the HOT Tea is HOT or COLD????""What is ICED Tea???" One of the best Celebrity Jeopardy moments.... Fresh Orange Juice is cool too, but I usually don't have the time to squeeze the damn things... and no one else will do it for me... http://www.swrebellion.com/~jahled/Trej/banner.gif

Trejiuvanat Posted May 20, 2004 Author Posted May 20, 2004 I do have one, but I usually prefer the extra sleep over the orange juice... http://www.swrebellion.com/~jahled/Trej/banner.gif
ElvisMiggell Posted May 20, 2004 Posted May 20, 2004 Dude it takes like, ten seconds per orange!!! Less time than it takes to boil a kettle, or brush your teeth! Elvismiggell. Brass_Bra_Leia Posted May 20, 2004 Posted May 20, 2004 Dude it takes like, ten seconds per orange!!! Less time than it takes to boil a kettle, or brush your teeth! This may sound totally stupid, but I have never made my own oragne juice and have always wondered. Is one orange enough? Do you add water then? How does this whole process work? I love fresh squezzed but grew up on concentrate, I'm finally moving to the world of bottled but not conentrated, maybe eventually I will cross over. "You came in THAT thing? Trejiuvanat Posted May 20, 2004 Author Posted May 20, 2004 For good refreshing orange juice you need at least 3 or 4 oranges, and it's not a lot what you get... You can add water and sugar, but the taste isn't the same. Sure it's only about 10 secs per orange, but I still have to clean everything up , wash the stupid squeezer place it on top of the shelf where no one will get to it... It does take more than pour some milk into a glass and some chocolate pulver take out a spoon and mix... http://www.swrebellion.com/~jahled/Trej/banner.gif

the_mask Posted May 20, 2004 Posted May 20, 2004 Enough Caffine can get me to that happy drunk feeling pretty easily. The only down side is I remember everything I did the next day Huh ? You mean that's not a normal state of being ? Nahhh, I'm feeling fine. ....honest ....shaking...I need some more caffeine http://img147.imageshack.us/img147/5183/animated9pn.gifhttp://img146.imageshack.us/img146/1778/reloadedbannerdu8.gifhttp://www.swrebellion.com/images/banners/rebellionbanner02or6.gif
Brass_Bra_Leia Posted May 21, 2004 Posted May 21, 2004 Enough Caffine can get me to that happy drunk feeling pretty easily. The only down side is I remember everything I did the next day Huh ? You mean that's not a normal state of being ? Nahhh, I'm feeling fine. ....honest ....shaking...I need some more caffeine Well I get the normal caffine buzz and then some. When I was pregnant with the 2nd one, I had a lot of pre-term labor, meaning tons of contractions for 6 months. They had me on everything from narcotics to anti-convulsion type drugs to try and control the contractions, I remember one day the pain got really bad so I had TF buy me a bottle of coke. I drink the whole thing and was so numb I finally felt pain free. Of course then I wanted to go and charge up the credit card to buy a whole new baby room basically. But after everything that I was on, the caffine gave me the nicest break from the pain. Of course, utimately it can cause more contractions and boy does it give the baby quite a kick also. I dont' recommend it, but since I so rarely drink it and drank it even less while I was pregnant I figured once surely wouldn't hurt. Anyhow, when we go out to bars with our friends I just order cherry cokes, after about 2 I'm pretty fun, get about 4 in me and I'm so wired, well lets just say the impulse control starts lacking a bit. I really need some reminders of what good girls should do Seriously I've never gotten into to much trouble but I try to really watch the caffine intake because of that. "You came in THAT thing? You have got to be kidding me!!! It is a sad, world I know. My mom has always been a great cook and made a lot of things from scratch, but juice was never one of those. I think moving around so much she was never guranteed to have fresh produce so she just bought juice from the bottle. I try to make a lot of things home made at least once to really get that flavor some has really failed and somethign have come out really well (you should taste my apple pie ), but I'm not really a cook, and reading directions in cook books confuse me. So yeah, i have never seen fresh juice made and have never tried to make it. Maybe I will embark on a new adventure. "You came in THAT thing? You're braver than I thought." -Princess Leia
