Lord_La_forge Posted May 16, 2004 Posted May 16, 2004 Guys. Try to avoid spamming next time This site is really not about gathering ranks... I think, there was need for the capital ships. Even if the alliance did'nt count with imperial fleets, the starfighters had to have some support out there. Like if one of the x-wings was damaged or out of torpedos, it still could return to the hangar of the MC. The other bigger ships without hangars, well they possibly were sent to distract as many Tie fighters as possible.

At it maximum height the Empire controlled over a thousand sectors, so you'd have at least 1000 sector fleets, but you would need extra protection for places like Kuat, Corellia, Coruscant, Yaga Minor, plus all the fleets with other duties... http://www.swrebellion.com/~jahled/Trej/banner.gif
