Stellar_Magic Posted May 14, 2004 Posted May 14, 2004 Well for once it wasn't all the screenwriters fault. In the book Jurassic park they say Malcom died on his way to the hospital. The Michael Crichton resurrected him for Lost World. Why? I never really liked the character anyway! "Chaos etc etc etc..."- Malcom "There is no Chaos, there is serenity..." - The Jedi Code The plot for Lost World and Jurassic Park was much better in the books. Also Hammond was suppose to died in the first film... (Killed by compys) The attack on the little girl by compys is in the first book, not the second. The films were just Wow, dinosaurs, wow... They stunk. ElvisMiggell Posted May 15, 2004 Posted May 15, 2004 Yeah, they were good fun... but that was it. The books, as often, are sooo much better. Elvismiggell. Strike me down and i will become more powerful than you can ever imagine... Nu kyr'adyc, shi taab'echaaj'la Not gone, merely marching far away
Lord_La_forge Posted May 15, 2004 Posted May 15, 2004 Sorry, I must go back on topic for this. I've just seen the Nick Berg video. If you didn't see it yet, I recommend you to leave it that way. Sometimes, I just have to think, what a f**kd up World, we're living in (sorry). And when will all that change? As a buddhist soul I say, that such acts are completely useless, and nonsense. Life is the biggest value of all. People, who can't understand this, should be enlightened somehow. Every single soul on this planet is searching for happiness! Are they really thinking, that such acts will lead them to happiness? Probably yes. I'ts shocking. All economical and political, even crazy religional reasons are at no means an excuse for killing! How could we stop this insanity? Because it can't be stopped by force, by goverments, by political interests. It can only be stopped by people like you and me too. We shouldn't play blind, or not care about our people living around us. Care for each other!
Trejiuvanat Posted May 16, 2004 Posted May 16, 2004 I'm not sure it's only a matter of caring for each other, it's also a matter of tolerance, it's a matter of understandment and respect. But those things cannot be imposed on the people, nor can't intolerance and hatred be fully erradicated, most of our historical legacy is one of intolerance and hate and fear. How many times have we heard phrases like "If you go to Rome, behave like a Roman", those things aren't political, nor economical nor religious, and they pass on the fear and intolerance to the future. They can be found in the very core of society, the fundation for all our politic systems, and religioius codes. Whatever change we might want to accomplish will happen in the far future. http://www.swrebellion.com/~jahled/Trej/banner.gif
