Hey, sometimes having the mentality of a 10-15 year old is all that keeps me sane. Besides, what fun is growing up both physically and mentally? :D

Appearances are everything.

So if you have to, you can make others think you're grown up, while you're snickering mentally :wink:

Just wanted to write this, cause thinking about it still makes me laugh:

Two days ago, I went into the bath after less then 5 hours sleep to hit the showers and get ready to go to the uni. When I looked in the mirror though, I heard the beginning of

Robbie Williams - Strong

...early morning when I wake up

I look like Kiss but without the make up

in the back of my head

Ahh!!! Folks... I will not bore you with the details of when I beat Robbie at pool in a pub called the Good Mixer in Camden Lock years ago.... (but Me did cane him; but his eyes did look a tab odd, err..glazed...but err.. I guess that's the rewards of being a 'pop-star....')

Anyway:

When you say glazed, do you mean more then being drunk  ?

Is Camden somewhere near Stokes ? I heard him say on a live dvd, that he lived there.

Camden Town is the hub of North London. It is famous for it's market called Camden Lock, because it is situated around a series of canal locks. For some unknown reason young people from around the world go there in flocks and droves because they assume it's 'hip' and 'cool.' It was at the turn of the nineties, when they all wore Pink Floyd tee-shirts, and stood out in the pubs. When the Brit pop thing took off in the 90's you really would bump into Blur, Oasis, Supergrass, in some of these pubs; but that was no accident, because Camden Town must have the highest densiity of recording studios in the UK. Pubs like the Good Mixer were 'trendy' anyway, and viewed as the cool places to hang out.

I was a little worse for wear when I destroyed young Robbie at pool, I can't even remember whether it was when he was still in that crap boys band or gone solo it was that long ago, and when I say 'glazed' I was amazed he could even utilize a pool cue! If they were glazed due to other circumstances he would have been far less wobbly on his feet; but ten fold more boring i'm sure. I like the guy. He put his fifty pence in the slot and was thrashed, but was entertaining all the way through. My mate Colin then subsequently destroyed me on the table; I think, but then he always does.

...me forgot, twas back in the nineties when things like that could happen in Camden... I was to pissed to be awestruck anyhows...

 now that's pretty funny. When I was pregnant with baby number 2, I had really bad migraines the first trimester (to be replaced only by pre-term labor the second trimester, yeesh). Anyhow, at one point TF took me to the Emergency Room for treatment for the headaches. The loaded me up on morphine, after a bit they let me go home. TF left me in a wheel chair in the waiting room while he went to get the car. I was so stoned on the morphine I couldn't see straight and who walked into the ER but David Robinson, basketball player for the Spurs. The combination of the morphine and seeing him there was really funny. There was really no point at all to this story, just thought I would share :)

 Stone me! Are you really Tex's other half? Excellent! You do realize you represent a rare thing indeed; a girl who shares her man's Star Wars 'hobbie!' R-e-s-p-e-c-t...and big uupp as Mask and I often say.

My last girlfriend whome I lived with for quite a while used to look at me very oddly as I sniggered infront of this PC; she also developed a very good shot of throwing Hasbro Star Wars figures at the back of my head.

But respect to her, for she remained in her seat when I lept up to do battle with a rolled up newspaper with another Jedi at a screeening of The Phantom Menice. Some of her friends told me they would:

a. Have not supported their partner's nerdy interest.

b. Subsequently not been sitting in that seat anyway.

c. Got up and left as soon as I began making 'laser sounds' and 'humming,' before crashing about the movie-theater isle.

The only question that can remain is obvious: I trust you have dressed up as your avatar for our Tex? Alex never did.

Though she would wear my Arsenal top... 8)

What the heck, my 1 year old did something to the computer, I pressed the shift key and got high pitched r2d2 beeping, bery freaky. :?

Anyhow, while I am truly married to TF, I can't say I share his love of Star Wars (please don't hate me  ) I support him, I have played rebellion twice, found it pretty cool, find the whole movies a bit too corny to watch as many times as I have. I have however, heard that I am rather rare as I enjoy sports (especially Amercian football and basketball) play console games, role playing games, and can actually hold my own for a few minutes in a conversation about Lord of the Rings (once again thanks to TF for talking about it sooo much). :D I ended up on this site because of the conversation you guys were having about trying to get me to do some sort of voice, and found that well it was just alot of fun :)

My last girlfriend whome I lived with for quite a while used to look at me very oddly as I sniggered infront of this PC; she also developed a very good shot of throwing Hasbro Star Wars figures at the back of my head.

 Well the first few years of our relationship I was ovelrwhelemed by all computer games, console games and all the other hobbies of TF's, I was jealous of his "affair" with the computer. Then I finally said, why is he the only one have fun? So I picked up a controller and here we are.

My sister constantly asks me how I can be married to a man who plays so much. I always feel like telling her that it is better than her work-a-holic, can't remember her birthday, doesn't do anything to help her out husband but that is just sinking to her level :) Truthfully, there are so many pluses to be married to a geek  yeah some of my girl friends don't get it, but since I'm closer to most of TF's friends anyway I don't really care. But TF's love of playing really helped me to let go and enjoy playing too. Plus he rarely ever gets mad ont he rare occasions that nothing gets done when I'm home because I was just too into a game

Most of my mates go to Camden. I've never gone, being too lazy, there are perfectly good shops in Croydon. :D

My favorite CD is Mortal Combat. Any Song will do. If I am sad I listen to the Vengaboys(The Vengabus). It lifts my spirits. If I am in a destructive mood Mortal Combat or Killer Instinct cd is for me. My favorite song of all time is Devo(Whip it). A good dance song is 100% Pure Love by Crystal Waters or Get Ready for this by 2Unlimited. I also listen to the oldies plus the King(Elvis).........................

Aw, I just realized, that writing this post was never finished, cause the preview of Dreamweaver took posession of the browser window. So here I go again:

What the heck, my 1 year old did something to the computer, I pressed the shift key and got high pitched r2d2 beeping, bery freaky. :?
That would be the keyboard buffer. Everything you write passes through this to 'avoid' a clogged transfer. If you type too much, like holding down one of the character keys down for too long, the buffer will be momentarily full and the computer will beep, telling you to stop what you're doing

...I ended up on this site because of the conversation you guys were having about trying to get me to do some sort of voice, and found that well it was just alot of fun :)
Oh yeesss, would you please rehearse the lines for Leia ? Pretty please :D ?

you'll never know and the pictures on the net aren't really me :lol:
Ah, I suspected the latter, since you'd have to be a few years older to be Carrie Fisher, [honey]I mean not so youthful as you're now[/honey]:wink:

Oh thank you for explaining. I get nervous when I hear odd noises, my oldest had banged on the key board when he was this age and managed to re-program the e-mail to where the font would suddenly change halfway through the e-mail. Never could fix that.

Well there is that, she is quite a few years my senior to say the least.

I saw an interview with her a few weeks back. She was promoting a book she wrote. She has a really funny view of life, well hard-end view. She said something to the effect if she doesn't laugh at herself, life would be too depressing. Ain't that the truth :)

Well, I'm glad she overcame the drugs. I've read once, that after this she wrote a book called 'Postcards from the edge' Somehow her humor and that of her role in StarWars seem quite simmilar

Well, it was with our previous computer, so the problem doesn't exist for us now. However, we were running MS Outlook, although I couldn't tell you which version. And yes, it was with EVERY e-mail. You could start typing a reply, and halfway through it would change font size and color. Weird stuff.

So you're not saying no, eh ?

C'mon, guys! Just a few more requests from the group at large and she may just do it!

Yeah, they mentioned that in the interview (I watched it with BBL). I haven't seen any of the 'Scream' movies, but she WAS in "Jay & Silent Bob Strike Back". :D She was also in "Charlie's Angels 2", the first Austin Powers movie, "When Harry Met Sally", and then there were her "Coversations from the Edge". Those are the only ones I can think of off the top of my head.

Well I was going to reply to this but seeing how Texas Fett beat me to the punch :x:D That is the problem being on the same forum with your husband, and the fact that we actualy are one of those rare married couple that spend a lot of time together, our answers are often in sync. I hadn't really watched the scream movies because I have an over active imagination  and don't watch horror movies.

But she was really fun in Jay and Silent Bob stricke back. As for the drugs, I don't know having an affair with Harrison Ford could be enough to turn any woman on to drugs.

Postcards from the edge was made into a movie, Chick flick type thing, I think :? Never did see it.

Aw, I wanted to write about the last Jay & Silent Bob movie and Charlie's Angles 2, but when I submitted the post I had 5 minutes left to the next class and a whole court and two buildings to cover

I hadn't really watched the scream movies because I have an over active imagination and don't watch horror movies.
Oh, I wouldn't let any movie worry ... 8O ... oh my god ! Watch behind you !!!!!

See, nothing there, just my imagination :lol:

Seriously though, I can understand this to some degree, after watching 'Arachnophobia' I saw spiders in a whole new light and it took me long to overcome this. :?

Really ? I didn't know about her and Harrison Ford, umm... did his wife ?

Wait, following this logic Callista Flockheart would be next, oh dear, poor Ally.

So the book even became a movie ? Well, ah, from your description I think I ... will pass this

Yeah that's the problem, he has brains. After I denied his request to buy him more toys because he kept loosing them, Jacob tells me, "well I think you should jsut keep thinking about it" Only 3 and he is using my words against me.

Now ironically enough, I love arachnophobia. I don't like ghosts and stuff though, and No leeches. NO LEECHES! Leeches freak me out!

Really ? I didn't know about her and Harrison Ford, umm... did his wife ?

Okay I don't know that for a fact, I heard that from TF. But he could jsut be yanking my chain. I married the man but trust him I don't

I don't know that he was married at the time, the way TF tells it, it was during the filming of the movies.
