The Droid TIE is a fully automated drone that incorporates split wing solar panels and mounts two laser cannons. A large engine system has also been added making the Droid TIE faster and more manueverable than the New Republic A-wing. However, it still lacks shield generator & hyperdrive systems found on most New Republic starfighters.
