I was just wondering, if someone were to make new models for all infantry without weapons, is there anyway to add weapons via hardpoints?

I think this would open up more options in infantry customization, but would most likely require an animation override depending on the weapon used (such as a rebel soldier using a pistol would be different that using a rocket launcher)

 

note: I am not suggesting hot swapping via an ability, just reusing models with different weapons.

 

I got to this idea somehow from wishing the Imps had a heavy soldier.

This would work, however I doubt a modelor would do it. Too much work, and the end product may be slightly glitchy.

Well yea, but it was more of a could it be done thing for me.
