For months now Ive been trying to discover the secret to this non responding. This happens in my mod ever so often after a few days the game suddenly...freezes. Without warning. The error picks and chooses. So I'm asking if anyone has any suggestions or could someone take a look at my XMLs...

Could the fact that your edited planets.xml is named Copy of Planets.xml be it? It could be crashing when needs something is the copy thats not in the default.

Do you have a new faction? ANY new faction, playable or pirate? That can cause a crash.

No I didnt add any new factions, but are you suggesting its the faction files?

Well, if you add a new faction entry it can cause problems. I've been working on the problem in my mod. I've only made it worse...

I am sorry to say that i think its either you computer or something having to do with the ai with your mod

You may be right but... the game stopped responding after I sent my fleet to a planet.
