Re: The FoC Eclipse is toothless!

Featured Replies

So I was adding the Forces of Corruption Eclipse to the game. Turns out, the FoC Eclipse has one hardpoint, for the superlaser. Only one. No spawn points, no weapons hardpoints, no nothing.

I would have to humbly ask the guys at Petroglyph, "What in the sam hill were you thinking when you put a toothless Eclipse in the game?!?"

Consequently, I am taking the Eclipse out of the game. Stupid design decision, Petroglyph.

which would probably explain if you put in in GC why it crashes the game? or am I wrong on this?

Considering they didn't make it useable in the first place, what did you expect? ::) A fully-functional super-waepon?

In a word, yes.

I wanted the real deal. An Eclipse with dozens of hard points, capable of engaging entire fleets. Hoorah!

You apparently lack the reading comprehension skills that the rest of us picked up in elementary school, so I'm going to spell this one out reaaaaaally clearly for you, using quotes from this thread.

Now, do you think after I finished playing the Corrupt campaign, the FIRST thing I did was rip all the models and textures, and then see what I could do with them? Because I'm pretty sure I did, and the only hardpoints on the complete Eclipse model are tied to the Superlaser.

So, anytime you'd like to stop acting like a n00b and start reading, that would just be a-okay by me.

What a pity. I hoped a full functional Eclipse could be used. Hmmm

At least a saw the SSD and must say that it's the best around even confonted to mods ones and it has more than 20 firing HP like in Bail of other mods. So it's nearly ok.I love it. The only disappointing thing is that you can't build it in skirmish and that the HP have noth enough "life points". It's even nearly in scale with the ISD but would be better if a bit bigger.

Just mod it.

I do understand what everyone is saying, but why can't you get 2 or 3 people to make a "complete" eclipse?

people are making them, Dark Empire already has one, and I think LoW and UEAW are all doing fully functional Eclipses too..

Yea, if you are going to put in something like the eclipse in and did not follow the forum, I would have expected a fully functional eclipse.

Nice response (and I am being sarcastic). Instead of acting like a whining brat do something about it.

I been using the one from LoW and it's awesome granted only has a superlaser but so much fun destroying stuff :)
A pack from Low is avaible on EAWFiles. I don't know how similar to the FOC is. I hope at least at the same level as the SSD from FOC in 100 times better than Low one.
I agree it would be nice but for their campaign it would not be needed, also because it wasnt going to be in the skirmish or Galactic conquest thier was no need to make it fully functional, but as you see their are mayn mods going ot have a fully functional eclipse in them so thier is nothing to worry about.

Maybe Petro will release a exporting... plugin so you can modify existing models?

Is the Executor toothless too?

And also, the Death Star was toothless too :P

Still Alive

and when you're dying I will be

Still Alive

and when you're dead I will be

STILL ALIVE"~GLaDOS

Anybody who thinks Palpatine is a sepratist knows NOTHING about star Wars

When in doubt- rocket it.

Dowload The Underworld's Might beta from Filefront!

No.

The Executor is super. It has many HP. About 20/22 firing ones including concussion missiles and the common SD weaponry.

The DS II is really awsome in killing enemy ships. I love targeting ackbar scum. ;D :D
