What is a suitable polycount for a rebellion model?

Right now im trying a mon cal cruiser and its about 3500-4000

is this 2 high?

What is the polycount for your mc-80b and viscount models mask?

also how do i know what size to resize the model to, as i have nothing as reference

o and another problem, how do i get the model from .gmax to .x

3500-4000 is good. I'd suggest using a maximum of 10000 polys. Some earlier models from me exceeded that limit, but I'm working on replacements.

References ? Well I started with one original model and adjusted the rest to be in corellation to this one. For example, the ISD is supposed to be 1.6km long, so I made the VSD smaller accordingly to the size of the ISD.
