Recharge Time

Featured Replies

There isn't a way to edit the recharge time for Turbolasers. You have to edit each turbolasers from Hardpoints.xml in each Turbolaser Hardpoint by  changing

It should be in the weapons for the turbolaser. Specialstructures.XML is the file with the turbo laser details in it. This is the section you need to look for:

20.0

125.0

2.0

4

0.3

(I've bolded the line to change).

I believe he is asking for a link telling him how long a turbolaser's recharge time should be, "realistically."

Well... No one knows the recharge time for sure, and additionally for some reason you'll want the hardpoint recharge time 3 times that of any projectile recharge time for the same weapon in order to get the same rate of fire.

I went with 0.9 for the hardpoints and 0.3 for projectile fire for turbolasers.  I also went with a 0.3 hardpoint 0.1 projectile fire for normal laser cannons.
