I played these maps so many times, that there coming out of my ears. Get some new maps, please!! :(

Pay attention to the forums Buzz. We can't add new maps until a map editos is released.

would it be possible to do a death star map on the surface of the death star?

 

i presume when a map building programme comes out it will be limited to planet environments. would you be able to contruct a death star surface map using this programme? complete with turbo laser towers, hangers etc.

The strange thing is, on the official EAW website, they show an X-Wing flying down the trench.  It's probably just there to look cool, though.

They show the X-Wing flying down the trench because that is in the cutscene when you destroy the Death Star. It isnt an actual map.

Even if you make new maps no one will play them unless its organized play. 60% of lucasarts buyers never seen a mod and are usually pre-teens who can't dl stuff.

a death star map is possible .the trench and stuff.. but scripting it so the x wings fire torpedoes into a tiny hole.. another story..

Anyway, we're mostly talking about people on LEC forums, who actually fit that profile. If you're here, then you probably don't fit that crowd.

I have found that 99 % of the time, people who bring up age in a conversation arent that old themselves  . Even if you are old, that doesnt mean you are mature. There is a big difference.

 

Now dont get me wrong DragonShadow im not being mean to you I do realize you were being sarcastic. I was just making a general statement.

 

But of course this isnt discuss your age and how it relates to if you use mods or not topic. So let's get back on topic. As soon as the map editor is out, I'll be churning out maps ASAP. Though I'll be putting my efforts into mapping for Legacy of War, I might release a map or two for the regular game. If I have a chance. I really want to make Legacy of War fun, and maps will definetely affect that

i will also be making maps like there is no tomarrow but i hope it isn't to complicated. i have noticed that for 3d rts's the map editors are just to hard to really get into.

I'll try making maps but give up when I get to a harder part that can be easily solved.

Well, We already knew that, Fosh.  It's one of the things I'm most looking forward to.  (Besides the Vong, Chiss, and the SSD.  Especially the SSD.)

I wish we had a Dancing Banana like Lucasforums....
