They look awesome.  However, is it possible to make it so that certain weather effects don't affect them?  Like, make it so that they are automatically not susceptable to rain modifiers?  That way, if you make snow troopers, you could make them not susceptable to snowstorms.  Idk if this is possible or if it has been done already, but it would be a good addition to this unit as to make it more unique.

Can the tag which restricts building locations for the capital ships (to Sullust, Fondor, Kuat and Mon Calamari in their case) be applied to other space units and ground units?

Heck yes.  Just add the planets to or something like that.  Then they can only be built at those locations.

Hmmm, any plans on making the blackhole troopers? (stormtroopers with black armor)

 

Be cool if we can get these troopers to fight better in their environments. Could also do this for the rebel factions. You can make the Sullustians better on volcanic worlds, Wookiees better on forest worlds, Mon Cals better on water worlds, the eskimos better on cold worlds and Gungans better on swamp worlds.

 

For the pirate faction would could make the twi'leks a buildable unit and have them tolerant of hot and cold worlds.

Interesting ideas, have you guys considered making a reskin of the stormtrooper that would be a Hazardtrooper or Darktrooper?

A real Dark Trooper would require a new model... Same with the 0g or Space Troopers. As far as the shadow troopers.. I was looking at it last night.. the problem is.. Shadow troopers wore Black armor.. The only way to make them look half way decent in game is to make the armor a dark dark blue.. OR. gray... so you can at least see some details..

I think the storm commandos could really fit into the game as well, not sure how to make the black armor tho, perhaps just make it a blackish smokey grey?

I was thinking about adding the storm commandoes...and well...the conversation that we had kind of influenced the discovery, me thinks.  OR maybe I'm just going more insane, the world will never know....

I have just checked out a mod that has been released on www.eawhq.de even prior before the full game came out (I guess that one was the first reskin ever, then). It was intended to work with the demo but runs perfectly with the gold version, too. It gives the imperial infantry black armor, just like Blackhole Troopers wear it. Looks especially nice with red shoulder markings in multiplayer - although arms and legs are a little too dark the helmet and breast plate just look cool.

Well that mod REPLACES the texture.  This is a brand new unit.

Yes these are NEW units.. in addition to the normal Storm Troopers.

They are? Strange, in my game these are the only Stormtroopers I can build. ???

I have not heard of that error but I will take a look when I get home this eve.

Oh wait a sec! I have mis-interpreted your posting and thought that you meant that these black Stormtroopers are a new unit. Sorry about that.

Indeed they do 'only' replace the standard Stormtrooper unit, but I thought it would be nice to post them here anyways, since people were asking for Blackhole Troopers.
