Hey, I'm new here and i'd like to make Kyle a jedi. Now after some very poor editing by myself I've got him to stand still when ordered to attack and then he does nothing. :'( I however do have got it right to make him have the sound of a lightsaber. But now I don't know what to do. I'm continueing to make it work but so far nothing worked. Can someone please help me??? ??? Thank you very much in advance.

To make Kyle a Jedi, we need a LUA editor, and an ALO/ALA editor, both of which we have to wait for Petroglyph to send out.

Yeah, Kyle is hardcoded with a blaster.  Someone might gie him a saber later on, though.

He's force sensitive.

so is mara jade, and i dont see no saber on her, unless she's supposed to be a dark jedi too.

Never used it, just used force tricks.

Kyle doesn't even know he's Force Sensitive in this time frame. And yeah, Mara Jade rarely/never used a lightsaber.

If he knew or not doesn't change the fact that he is force sensitive. Who is to say that if Obi-wan stumbled upon him he wouldn't give him a quick lesson in the force.

Unfortunetly, he never got that chance, and Kyle had to wait for Force training.

However, part of playing EaW is the ability to change the Star Wars timeline (i.e. the Empire crushing the Rebellion, Obi-Wan living to help defeat the Empire, etc.).

 

With that in mind, we could probably do something with lua or something so that if Kyle comes in contact with Obi-Wan then he trains him in the Force and he switches out the blaster for a lightsaber. We could make it a story plot thing...

Yup, that is part of the fun of games, you can change the history. Obi-wan could train kyle, Yoda could have come out of hiding before ESB, Luke could fall to the darkside. I wish since the game was suppose to allow you to "change star wars history forever..." would have had more sandbox play.

Yeah, the only part of history you could "change" was for the Empire to win or for the Rebels to conquer them prematurely.  It would be cool if they had a story mode that followed the story of the movies, but everything you do could change it or keep it going like normal.  Kinda like Infinities.

Kyle Gives up being a Jedi for a time and although Mara can use a saber she Doesn't she prefers Knives.

In the first one (the only one i have) She uses it to break in to a

pub and start some racket.
