February 21, 200620 yr Hello all. so i'm trying to create a new factions. to start with i copied the entire entry for the and renamed it so far so good (i suppose). then i made a new Text ID using the DATeditor (TEXT_FACTION_COALITION). easythen comes: i_icon_empire.tga ok...i'l just replace "empire" with "coalition", should be easy. then i spen around 30mins trying to find i_icon_empire.tga(and every other .tga for that matter ) before i came along a link to http://eawnexus.gamingsource.net/forums/index.php?showtopic=1551 .tga file.....for everything. Ok, i'm no expert on .tga files, so, i look around a bit mor for this ONE file, and finally found it in textures.meg. Extracted it....its 8Mb big, oh my opening it up, it has like the above topic says every .tga in there.....so my question is How would i add in a new Faction icon (or anything else for that matter) and make it so the games knows its "that" particualr part of the Greater .TGA file? any help would be appreciated cheers! p.s the faction is called Coalition cause, hey, we have an Empire, and Allaince...what comes next?
