Troop health declining due to harsh weather

Featured Replies

Hi all. I'm sorry if this has already been asked. My question is if we know any information on the possibility of your soldiers dying because they were in a cold area for too long or another type of bad weather. Also, their movement through the terrain could be slower, etc.

Please don't look at me like the type of fan who expects the best possible game and wants all of his wishes to come true. Because I'm just grateful that after a long wait from SW:GB, I'm getting to play another Star Wars RTS. :)

What I mainly am asking is if you know how much the weather effects the gameplay.

welcome to the forums LeonPowalski.

and i dont think we know about health declining but they are affected by the weather such as LOS and movement impairment.

but i dont think that we have had a topic like this before.

well I'm sure that the tornado will kill ground troops...but rain and such will prolly just effect speed, accuracy..etc etc.

Welcome. Your point was prequel to a post I was about to begin.

If you look at the movies on the LEC site you can see that there is one for Jabiim. It mentions that the Air is toxic, it is the same for the worlds of Shola and I presume any other Volcanic Planet.

Welcome LeonPowalski

Yup Sparky you said what I wanted to say, Ya also snow effects range and I think if snow speeders can fly out and help. Dont quote me on the speeder part. The tornado or dustdevil (What i call it) will kill your troopers and cause havoc. I call it a dustdevil since it was weak and small :P

I wonder if lava will work the same as asteroids fields. Where you can move through them to cut your time, but they will damage your units.

Welcome LeonPowalski! I'm pretty new too.

What would be great is a weather control building. Outnumbered? Create a tornado or volcanic eruption and kill all the imps or rebels.

Though we all know that can't be:(

If Shoala is toxic(or Jabiim or some planet), how can your troops be there. Will you need special upgrades

Stormtroopers would do just fine and Rebels would have to find some kind of mask or steal it from some dead Stormtroopers :P

That weather Station would be nice but might be EU stuff
