I'm wondering, do any of you know where I can find a picture of one of the oldschool VSDs? The ones you saw in X-Wing vs. TIE Fighter, when they only had two main engines. I've tried looking on Google Images, but the one image they have won't load.

I thought that all VSDs had 2 main engines and 6 smaller engines including VSDIIs.

 

ISDs have 3 Large engines and 8 smaller engines

in warlords there are two big ones and two small ones on the vsd one

theres no way a VSD could b moved by two engines it would need 4 minimum

No, in the early X-Wing vs. TIE Fighter games, the Victory Star Destroyer had 2 main engines. Later adaptations (like EaW) gave it a third engine, like the ISD.

 

I was wondering if anyone has a picture of the older style of the VSD, where it has the 2 main engines, and if that picture actually shows the engines.

well the ISD has 3 main Engines but it has another 4 engines on top of that, that help move the ship along.

Those four engines are the hyperdrive engines according to the original schematics.

i will go take 3 screenies from warlords right now one of each vsd the vsd1 the vsd2 and the modified vsd!(so i will double post shame on me)

lol I was thinking the same thing. Im glad to see that there is a difference like that. Im glad it wasnt an oh lets just totally go against all the games and books and redesign the VSD kinda thing lol.

yes the one in game is the mark 2 though i would rather see the mark on e(lots of missles )

lol the TIE Fighter one was the Mark. II i think cause it hast the fins that give it a better Field of Fire

 

and does anyone have an Idea if theres a Mk. III ISD?
