Hi, im new here but have been keeping an eye on this forum for a couple weeks now and i finally got around to registering. So the game is set to come out in Feb. '06 Just wondering if it would be worth my while to buy Rebellion to keep me occupied and brush up on my skills. I just want some opinions on the game.

 

PS - Feb. is the official release date right?

I haven't played Rebellion but someone who has might suggest it. I doubt I can find Rebellion but want to know where to find one here in Ottawa A needle in a hay stack

Rome total war might be good too, this game is going to be a lot like it as well.

Just wondering, but did Rebellion have real-time battles?

I think I mentioned the release date in a thread in the last two days or so, and it was of then still 6th February.

 

I don't have rebellion, but with what everyone was saying about it the same thought crossed my mind. The problem I found was finding a copy. Some can be found on E-bay, but when I looked before about a month ago there were none that could deliver outside the US.

Its a good thing i live in the US! Il\ placed a bid on a copy on ebay, the listing was for the game, jewelcase, manual (which was described as a "Bible") and a poster, pretty mucht eh whole package minus the box. I put a bid in on it and well see what happens. After conducting some further research of my own though this game sounds like it'll satisfy me beyond the release date, it is apparently, very, very, long and difficult, and many people mentioned a lot of mouse-clicking. Anyway keep em coming!

Ok there are quite a few places in the UK which stock Supremacy(the European Name of the GAme) i find that it's not the clicking which is annoying it's 3PO's voice and R2-D2's constant squarking. Turn them off As soon as you log on and you won't go insane.

 

I think that LucasArts are selling the game in their online store and there are various ripped versions of the game on the Web according to my cousin.

Since I cant buy things online anybody want to lend me their copy or ripped version

 

Stores should do a tribute sale to EAW or something like that How about instead of a mousepad give Rebellion free with preorders

thats a great idea, it would bring in a TON of extra preorders. Heck id even preorder it and say "Screw the BestBuy giftcard i was gonna use for it when it came out" Someone should let someone at LEC know about that, that'd bring in a ton of Revenue plus keep alot o fus content until feb.

I think u can order it if u look at the lucasarts website, look through the older games list. If u have Homeworld 2, there is the Warlords mod, that changes all ships and tech to star wars. I havn't tryed it yet, but i think marus, ghostly, cain, and fosh have. I gotta load it up some time.

I had but the cd was my cousins so i need to get the game myself. May buy it after payday.

lol the Rebels for Homeworld 2 doesn't want to attack you unless your weak.

 

Clone campaign is actually sweet game since I finally was able to try it. Damn those artillary air crap doing area damage. Ai is nuts. 2 vs 1 and I got owned (not finished off)

I hate the AI in that game it runs on the "Strength in Numbers" idea. Build as many fortresses and units as you possibly can and when they die build, more and more...

When I attacked the AI in Clone Wars Campaign I never ever saw a Fortress, unless coming across a Gungan fortress. Other then that I got over ran even at a base I built. I destroyed Green team then Purple owned the hell out of me Dam droids.

 

Well i'm just waiting tomorrow so I could get the Zero hour x-pack to try out the Star Wars mod.

Cool, youll have to tell me how that mod is and where i can get it! Anyway when i play SWBG:CC the enemy builds a TON of guys and literally 20 fortresses so after i overrun all of the units, ive gotta go destroy every fortress its a pain. Anyway good luck!

While I wait for EAW i will mostly be going into a Jedi Hibernation Trance.

While I wait I'll probably end up writing a whole load of 3rd year essays and reading so much my brain declares independance and becomes a republic.

 

But yeah, there are plenty of games I could play in the meantime. The DOW expansion should keep me busy for a while at least.

I was bidding on rebellion on eBay but the price got up to 38 bucks which was more than what it costs new from lucasarts, so i ordered it from there. Any good mods for it and where can i get them?
