How many folks here watch it? A friend of mine has the first season on DVD. I'm about half way through it, and I have to admit it: I'm hooked.

For those of you who don't watch the show, it revolves around Dean and Sam, brothers who, while searching for their father, fight supernatural forces that threaten people. In a way, it's very much a scary, American version of Doctor Who, just with more of a fantasy aspect than a science fiction one.

The series has some great character development, with both main character experiencing inner deamons galore, whilst fighting outer deamons like mad. All in all, a great show. Who here watches it?

Oh, and yes, before you ask me, this is just because Rob started that Heros topic.

I do.. mostly because it comes after Smallville. Quite an interesting horror show, though not really so much horror as drama and action. I think Jensen Ackles plays his character perfectly, much more interesting than his Smallville character.

Holy crap! I can't believe I never made that connection! *Smacks head against the wall* I knew he was familiar from somewhere!

Personally, I think Dean is awesome.

Sam: What the hell are you doing in my dorm housing in the dead of night?

Dean: Well, I was looking for a beer.

*Sam's girlfriend enters*

Dean: Hey! I love the smurfs!

*Close up of Sam's girlfriend's chest, which features a smurf over each breast*

Crude, but somehow hillarious.

I always think, "hey is that Jason? Isn't he dead? He better be damn dead..."

My friend watches the show, and said that he enjoyed it. Now that Im finished with Jericho, maybe I'll give it a whirl.

@Tofu: You're just lucky I didn't start a Simpsons thread!

I watch it sometimes when channel flipping. Used to watch it more in season 1 on the Space Channel.

I saw every episode of season one. Then I went to school. Haven't watched more than half a dozen times since. Now I can't watch because it's on while I'm at work.
