I have a very modified copy of Rebellion, when i modify the Empires ship names with ResHack it jumbles them up giving other ships other names and such. When i modify them in RebEd it just ignores the changes.

I'd do a complete reinstall and put back the changes you want. You could try and repair, restoring defaults, but I'd just reorganize what you want and don't want, then reinstall.

Happens from time to time. Every time you make a copy in Reshack it automatically makes a backup of that DLL file. Those names are in TEXTSTRA, arent they? either way, just delete the old file, Rename TEXTSTRA_original.dll to TEXTSTRA.dll and redo those changes. No need for a complete reinstall. Play a few games with regular names and take note of what names are what. The Judicator is ALWAYS that ISD over Coruscant. If you see a Carrack Cruiser names "Mopee's Revenge", then you'll know that the name can only be given to Carrack Cruisers. Go find that name in Textstra and replace what you want with it. Thats how I did mine.

I mean the class name, and apparently the backup is the same.
