Finally got settled in. I've been watchin' and readin' for a couple of months & finally decided to join in. I was originally surfin' the web for info on the X-wing space combat simulator when I stumbled across your site. I'm also a Rebellion fan. I have only played the "original virgin" version so far. I can't wait to try RebEd and all the neat mods.

Cool deal. Reminds me when I found this site many many years ago. Most of the people here are newcomers who I dont know. Igor, Evader and Stratus and Paul as well as Grand Admiral Thrawn are the names coming to my mind who were members back when I was before it switched to this new layout. Even though my thing says I joined in 2002 I actually was a member long before like back in 1999.

 

Anyway, I found this site when I was looking around for this editor, RebEd, and I decided to join up to see about any new ways of modding Rebellion and making it play better and that sort of thing. In any event its good to see new members. I just hope some of you newbies will stick around and not vanish after all the excitement caused by Revenge of the Sith and some of the new games coming out dies down.

Finding good sites is a hard thing to do. I found several but either they aren't update-to-date, abandoned? or have a very narrow scope. I can remember seeing the original movie back in '77 as a kid (I hope this doesn't date me). I've been hooked ever since. Like I had mentioned, I used to play X-wing, and then Tie Fighter (games from the '90's). I don't really go after all of the "products" following a movie release (though I bet several are quite exciting). Dark Forces kind of burned off "just anything SW" . Strategy games (Rebellion) are very thought provoking and give me a chance to employ my logic against the AI (weak AI I should say ). My enthusiasm won't be fading just because the release date of RotS fades to history. I plan on checking the forums frequently and adding my two bits as necessary.

Long time no see! Welcome back

Hey Krytos, good to see you too man. How's it goin?

Going good. Been busy latley with uni, end of semester projects and now exams (oh yeah, I should study for the exam tomorrow )

 

Once all that's out of the way, I'm going to get back to working on my models for Rebellion and Reloaded . . . not to mention a lot of R and R

 

How have you been?

Doing well as of late, had it rough with classes and such for awhile, but things have cooled down now.

Good to hear things are better now, Tertiary studies can be real prick sometimes

What are tertiary studies exactly? You mean like graduate school?

Yeah, pretty much. Uni, TAFE or any other classes you take after high school
