I have been playing Rebellion for years and I've never seen the AI to build a Death Star, when I am playing as the rebels. Is there any style of playing for my part that would make the AI build a Death Star?

You mean there's an AI? Try multiplayer its the best way to go. Although I rarely build one myself, they're too high maintenance and your production is better spent on your fleet.

The AI won't build a Deathstar, You have to lower the costs With rebed before they build it Stupid, Yes. Hard to Fix, No.

 

Well thats what I had to do to make them build Death Stars.....

Download Cain's mod and the AI will be much more effective.

Don't know never tried it myself. Is cain's download the one that says rebellion the protectorate?

Quite simply, reduce costs of the Death Star to about 10/10 for about fifteen days, and you you should one or two drifting about your galaxy, even maintained when you re-adjust game setttings.

 

That or set tech level to about 13.

I had never thought of that, setting it at a higher research level.

you mean setting it as a research level ship can get them to build it. cool.

Also about the download, if you download one of the downloads that increasing AI difficulty, can you still play against it on easy, medium, or hard?

As the Ai will try to build always the newer ships instead of the starting ship it would most likely build a DS. (If you give it a too high research value, you risk that at an advanced stage of teh game the aI doesn't have the resources. So lower them quite a bit).

Back to the Death stars...

 

I lowerd it to 100, and that worked for me......

Last time I played as the rebels I did exactly as I said to get the AI to build a Death Star and was overjoyed to learn of one in orbit over Coruscant (with Death Star shield).

 

Being a cunning commander I moved my main Republic Grand Fleet to Balmorra and when I arrived.... Death Star numero Dos!

 

I fled.

Well I have been using RebEd to find the elusive Death Star, i will keep trying with it. Thanks all for your help

You're Welcome I had the Same Problem when I played Rebellion...

i have a save game file that has 2 (maybe three) death stars in it. I altered the stats to 10/10, i used to have the file on my site, but currently my site is down until further notice. I can send it to you if you like just email me and ill send it to you.
