Error Report

Have any of you had the error report thing come up which forced you to close out of Rebellion? It just happened to me for the second time.

Sounds like it is Windows that is crashing. Rebellion is an older game and may run differently on newer systems - so who knows how long Microsoft OS will be compatible with such older games.

Fighting is terrible, but not as terrible as losing the will to fight.

The cake is a lie.

I have had the game crash after a fleet battle where I take control - as soon as the screen comes up to say "You are victorious" or equivalent, the game crashes and I get the all to familur: This program has performed an illegall Operation.

Now, generally I would blame this soley on Windows XP, and some incompatability. Though it doesn't always happen, and it has happened a few times on my friends computer who is currently running Windows 98 SE.

Oh well, I've learnt to save a lot just in case

For the most part, older games usually work on newer systems. The only problem I have ever had was with sound on some very old games.

For me about the sound thing. That would be Kyrandia 2 Hand of Fate.

Well, most sound problems can be dealt with if you tweak your sound card (assumning you have one) just right. But that can take a lot of work.

XP for sure. It happens to me sometimes but not too often. If it does happen often on your system, then maybe you should check your OS.
