I started putting those wonderful 3d models in SWR, but encountered several problems with texture.

 

First, when I install the Dominator Interdictor, the texture is messed on the ship (its like they painted the engines just left of the bridge section)

 

Second, some models comes without texture, like the ISD, VSD and Mc40a. Is there a way to give them texture (before I start trying to make one?)

Do you mean in RebEd's preview window or in the game ?

Well, this dates back to when I started with modelling and we still didn't know how to encode the textures to Rebellion's format.

You can try the ISD and VSD if you want, but I wouldn't bother with the Mc40a, since I will release a totally new (textured) model soon.

For the Dominator, only in RebEd, in game it looks fine.

 

And for the Mc40a : great!

Ok, then take this good advice from me: never mind, what RebEd is showing you

 

Most of the time it's correct, but there were some incidents, that caused me to spend a lot of time with models, that already looked perfect in the game

RebEd uses other routines to display the models, than Rebellion.
