Alright everyone im a history professor i have my masters in ancient history so i know what im talking about. I’ve been looking at this movie and to let you all know the guys in the masks are suppose to be the Persians, the guys in the red are the Spartans, and no its not based on a comic book its based on an actual historical event if any of you want to know more about go here http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Battle_of_Thermopylae. Plus this movie seems to only focus on the Spartans and not any of the other city states that were there such as Athens, so if you’re just looking for a historically accurate movie i wouldn’t suggest it, but if you’re looking for just another action movie like Troy then yea it looks pretty cool.
