  1. Yeah...I think the only PFF guys I've ever seen is PloKoon and Ghostly... Too bad...I'm always trying to get more folks to play online :-\
  2. Always glad to help. We had some communication breakdown for a little bit and I was feeling rather retarded and helpless :-[ lol. Glad it worked out!
  3. Which version is your bios? Here is a link to v.4 (if that is newer than what you have): http://vprmatrix.com/customer_desktops_2100_drivers.asp Unfortunately there aren't a ton of updates for that particular bios. Once you update it, run the Intel scan again and see what it comes up with. Ada32 is also a nice program that will give you a summary of your hardware and chips as well as links to download updated drivers: http://www.majorgeeks.com/download181.html There are a few others out there like Belarc Advisor and Sandra that also do the same. When you boot you will see a string of numbers at the bottom left of your screen - press the PAUSE button when they appear because they are gone quick. Preceding these numbers there should be something like "VIA" or "ASUS" which is the manufacturer of your motherboard.
  4. Ah, you didn't say it was Intel in your initial post, very good then. You should be able to update your Bios fairly easily if needs be. http://www.pcmech.com/show/bios/81/ Here is a good article about updating your bios. Good luck
  5. I wouldn't trust some third part scan. You need to find out the exact motherboard you have (chipset alone isn't enough) and find up what you can upgrade it to. Once you know what motherboard you have, you can cross reference Intel's site to find out what you can upgrade it to. Incidentally, how much is this processor going to cost and who is going to install it (is there cost there as well)?
  6. What's entertaining about reading this thread, is that there are a bunch of people posting who obviously have strong opinions on what is good or bad in the world of Anime, and yet you guys continue to argue about it. Guys, different strokes for different folks. You aren't going to convince one guy why DBZ is entertaining despite it's idiocy, or that this other guy should watch this one and that one because he clearly hasn't seen the "good" anime. It's all opinions! The only "inaccurate" statement I have seen in this entire thread was that the old cartoons (Loony Tunes and such) were merely slapstick and an insinuation that there were no underlying roasts there. Here's the thing...Anime is on TV because SOMEONE likes it. So to say "it sucks" is your opinion and you aren't going to convince someone else who falls into that group that like Anime otherwise. Loony Tunes has survived for over 50 years and is still on TV!!! So you can't really say it sucks either heh. Opinions guys...opinions. Let's all just state our opinions and let others state theirs and move on.
  7. Q: Besides being a Jedi prophecy, there is another source where the prophecy of the Chosen One is in written form, name this source and what it dubbed the Chosen One.
  8. Ah, well Thrawn engineered his own downfall intentionally, but he wasn't an Admiral at this time so I can only guess you mean Ar'lani?
  9. A: Rufaan Tigellinus (assuming when you say exile you mean to the Unknown Regions) Q: Besides being a Jedi prophecy, there is another source where the prophecy of the Chosen One is in written form, name this source and what it dubbed the Chosen One.
  10. I'm somewhat of an old-school gamer... 1. Final Fantasy 4 (JAP) 2. Final Fantasy 6 (JAP) 3. Final Fantasy 9 4. Chrono Trigger 5. Chrono Cross 6. StarCraft 7. Metroid: Zero Mission 8. Metroid Fusion 9. Super Metroid 9. Legend of Zelda: A Link To The Past I could really go on and on... Most of my favs were on SNES, which got me through most of my childhood. The Civ games were great, WarCraft 2 was good, like I said...on and on. The above games are ones that I could actually pick up now and enjoy playing.
  11. Bah, the Websense firewall here at work blocks me from getting to any URL with "game" in it. I'm currently using a proxy to bypass the firewall which allows me to view the Petroglyph forum, but they don't support SSL so I can't log in or post. I'm pretty sure if I knew the numeric IP I could get in the site normally. I have done a lookup to find that the domain is 216.120.237.52, so I imagine I just need a port. Or does anyone know of any other way to do this? Help! :'(
  12. Wow, the sheer number of posts...it's hard to keep up
  13. Yay, another forum to join! Helps me pass the day at work!!
  14. A: Ackbar was no politician, so when Leia Organa Solo retired, he did as well. He had no desire to play politics with the incoming Chief of State, Borsk Fey'lya. Q: What imperial spy was used by Darth Vader to coordinate the 5th battle of Yavin IV?
  15. I'm the Finance Manager of a BMW dealership in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Let's see I went to college at McPherson College (private) in McPherson, Kansas and got my degree in Social Psychology. Once I found out that a job using my degree would net me a stellar $25k a year I decided to reconsider my career. I got into sales instead. I have been in sales every since doing anything from radio spots to internet service. I started working in the car business almost 3 years ago and I have loved every minute of it! I'm now making the kind of money I want and living a great lifestyle. I could have gone back to school for a Master's and make MAYBE $50k...but why when I am now making $80k? A couple more years and a couple more promotions in this business and I'll likely be making $120-150k. Where else can you do that!? Honestly, the numbers are staggering about how many college grads start out selling cars before they start their "serious job" and actually stay in the car business because they are making so much money they don't want to stop. They give you a free car (no car payment, no insurance, no tag expenses) to boot! It's a great gig. The only downside is the hours you put in (50-70 hours a week)...but the money makes it worthwhile. If you can't be a doctor or a lawyer...BE A CAR SALESMAN! ;D
  16. Is it "dropping out" meaning that a few minutes into an applicationg (game, song, whatever) that it just goes mute? I have heard of Realtek AC'97 doing this. If this is the problem then it is more a motherboard problem, as it's a jumper setting that causes it. Does your computer have a set of front audio/mic jacks? If so read on with the solution, if not, more info is needed and I'm sure I can help. In order to fix the "drop out" ensure that there is a jumper on the Speaker Out and Speaker Out Return pins. There should be a pair, corresponding to a channel of audio. So, if you have a Left and Right channel, there will be a Speaker Out and Speaker Out Return for the Left and Right channel. However the only drawback is that this resolution disables any attachment of a front audio jack for Headphones or a MIC. Ideally, if you do not use any front panel audio connection or if your case doesn't allow an option to, you can simply make sure to check that there is jumpers on the Speaker Out and Speaker Out Return. This enables you to use your speakers that are attached into the audio jacks on the rear of your computer as normal, thus no more "drop outs". The "drop out" is caused in the jumper assignment itself. The motherboard has a semiconductor chip dedicated to sound distribution (aka. the Realtek AC'97 chipset). The jumpers allow the connection of a front audio jack, or by default, a rear stack of audio inputs/outputs provided by your motherboard. If those jumpers aren't correctly installed on the pins, or the front audio panel has some issues, a circuit is not formed correctly, causing the motherboard to "time-out" its cycles of audio. Thus, by disabling any variables to the audio circuit, there is less is likely for anything to go wrong. Also, updating to the latest version whilst doing so, will remove more variables, such as defective driver install or release.
  17. Oh, I apologize. I just assumed since it wasn't locked and on-topic that I could post on this thread. You're a moderator, can't you just split off the new material?
  18. Depends on what you want to do. And it's not just the amount of RAM, but it's clock speed as well. For most of your basic systems 1GB is more than sufficient. For a gaming machine I'd suggest 2GB (as well as a good video card).
  19. There is an (in my opinion) even better choreographed light saber sequence called "Art of the Saber" (Ho Brothers' Production) that I have seen found here (download): http://fxhome.com/cinema/info_cache/movieinfo479.html# I did like the original one you posted, however this one has a better martial arts feel to it.
  20. Of course this is all opinion as have been all the other posts of this thread. I personally don't care anything for any of the Anime I have seen (scattered bits and peices of most of the Anime you can find on cable over the years). DragonBallZ (the original Japanese stuff) is entertaining for like...1 episode then it just gets repetitive and tedious. I have fond memories of Saturday morning cartoons in the 80's. There were so many good ones back then... My top 10 favorite cartoons of all time (mostly in no particular order): 1. Dungeons & Dragons - I used to look forward to Saturday mornings as a kid to watch this...what an awesome cartoon! 2. Transformers (original 80's) - Great storyline, *always* introducing new characters, good stuff! 3. Pirates of Dark Water - though short lived, this was a good cartoon. 4. GI Joe (original 80's) - Though cheesy in many ways, it provided good entertainment. 5. He-Man - Ditto. 6. Thundercats - This was a good cartoon, kindof a different concept. 7. Silverhawks - Ditto. 8. Centurions - This was a fun cartoon, a lot more serious than many of it's time. 9. Ducktales - I dunno why I liked this so much, it was funny and adverturous. 10. Richie Rich - Another of my favs! Just a cool show! Honorable mentions: 1. Speed Racer - CHEESE!!! But in a cool car sorta way... 2. Pac-Man - Ok laugh if you want, but this show was entertaining! 3. Johnny Quest - Pretty serious cartoon as well, but good action and intrigue. And just a side-note about the older cartoons (Loony Tunes, Woody Woodpecker, Tom & Jerry, etc.) someone made the comment that these were just slapstick humor. If you knew anything about the politics going on at the time these cartoons were made, you would see pokes at political figures, entertainers, and all sorts of other inuendo and suggestions are made as well. Some of them are rather subtle, while others are blatent. Just wanted to set the record straight there.
  21. I'd go with Squaresoft (calling it that because most of the games I liked were made when it was called Squaresoft) first, then Blizzard (Warcraft 2 and StarCraft changed my life lol), then Nintendo (Zelda and Metroid games were amazing).
  22. Nah, History major in college (Pre-Law). Most of it is useless info until a conversation like this comes up
  23. The F9-TZ transport does have a capacity limit. I do not believe capturing ships is a special ability from what I have seen. I think it was just a campaign objective (similar to missions on the original EaW campaign).
  24. Actually you must have missed the first sentance in the last paragraph. Please re-read
  25. It was a pretty good demo, albeit short. The buzz droid special ability seemed rather worthless...agreed. I did enjoy the space battle over Kamino...I built a couple of each of the ships. The Vengeance-class Frigates are fun, 2 of them owned the heck out of a Victory-class Star Destroyer. Much fun ;D
