  1. Thanks for the review Crazylegs ... Us miniature gamers would probably consider this game a "beer-and-pretzels" game. It's fun, with lots of eye-candy, but doesn't take a WHOLE lot of strategy for the most part. Just sit back and push units at each other. I do enjoy the game, but with some of those more hardcore elements (persistant damage and base building) missing, it is a game where you might play for a few hours and go back to your more involved games. Hopefully the modding community will step up and be able to add some needed complexity to the game.
  2. I'd have to say "Yes" as well ... If you have any patch-related issues you can always re-install the game...
  3. I believe I was zoomed out to a level just before it goes to the overhead view without the UI ... I'll try and duplicate it tonight ...
  4. You might try taking the disk out and popping it back in and trying it that way ... I had similiar issues with Silent Hunter III in DVD ... eventually it would work though. I hope you can find a solution to this issue. Maybe one of the Petro guys can help out. (I had read on the Lucasarts forum that someone said this was a CD Only patch.. but I don't know if that had any validity) Good Luck!!
  5. I cancelled and tried it again.
  6. I entered a space battle (sorry I don't remember where, but I will find out when I get home) and noticed something flying across my screen ... After a few seconds it coalesced into one of my VSD launched fighter groups. It seems like it zoomed from the other side of the screen to get there. Has anyone noticed this?
  7. I got the same message... I have the CD version of the game and installed the patch immediately after installing the game. However, I tried starting the game a few more times and eventually it read the CD and started the game. I would suggest trying to start the game from the disk ... via autoplay or just double-clicking on the executable ... Hope that works for you!
  8. Well, the NGE has definitely changed the game. Personally, I don't like it. It went from a very open-ended game (some say TOO open-ended) to a game where every Bounty Hunter is just like every other Bounty Hunter... The "teacher's pet" of the game is the Jedi .. they have items in every patch, whereas the Trader class has been mostly ignored. The Economy is at a very weak state at the moment. (Probably because of their lack of attention to Traders and that items no longer decay) I'd give it another 6 months or so ...
