Hey dudes I need help with something, I'm adding some land props to use on my maps so I want to add the star destroyer, but as u know the main model is the destroyed one (ya know without the hard points) so how can I make it to have all of it's hard points in the ground?, i tried adding the hard points in the xmls but no luck any help?

I'll check for it, if anything goes wrong I'll just pot it here

Yup did it ;D, now on to the coding part, I created the ground unit part and the ground companies part, but the unit does not appears to be buildable, any other thing I've got to do? and one more thing, I'm trying to do the reskining tutorial, but no luck, I first copy a dds file and rename it different, then edit the dds, and make a copy of a alo file, hex edit the file searching for base texture (but the base texture part says .tga, not dds), and then save it and when I enter in model viewer, the model has no skin...

So I just open mtd_commandbar.mtd with mtd editor, and then insert the Commando Icon and save it?

ok got MTDedit, but no clue of what I've got to do using hexedit, the first step of the tutorial And one more thing, ok I made the new "Commando" unit in ground infantry, and then in Groundcompanies, added the "commando_squad" thing, but there's still things I've got to do to use it, cause I can't create the unit, it has something to do with the structures right?

Ok I have a radeon 9600, and yesterday downloaded the last catalyst driver update ( the 7.11), ok installed it and everything fine, but then I reinstalled all of my games, and it says: "generic application error. enable debug output for detailed infomation, switching to the reference resterizer", and then when I click accept, it shows: " Warning: nothing will be rendered, the reference rendering was selected, but your pc has only reduced functionality reference device installed. Install directX SDK to get the full reference device" so what's that directx sdk??, where can I find it?

Well since you got it I don't have to edit the url , well, got the icon, where do I have to put it?, inside art/textures?

Hi guys long time no see, I decided to get back to mod some things on FoC again (units, custom games, custom units, new maps, etc...), but well I kinda Forgot to do a lot of stuff y knew, the reason I started this thread is to ask some questions from time to time, and hopefully you guys modding veterans could help me out to remember stuff ;D, ok here it goes: first, I wanna make a storm commando, yeah I remember the coding stuff I've got to do (anyway if I got a problem, I'll post it here), but I need an icon, so if anybody could make me an Icon for it, use this pic: http://www.coolstuffinc.com/images/Products/Misc%20Art/Star%20Wars%20Miniatures/AE033.jpg Second, I don't have photoshop anymore (due to a Hard drive cleanup), and I used to change or create textures on that program, I downloaded a trial version but it wouldn't start, so if anybody could get me a link for an stable photoshop, thanks again well that's all for now, but anyway since this part of the forums is inactive for days, try checking the thread once in a while to help me out , thanks in advance and it kinda feels like I've entered EaW again, had like 7 months without even touching the Game, but glad to be here again, asking this kind of stuff again , thanks in advance

Well then, reporting in, yeah, long time since I posted in the forum, but there isn't lot of stuff going on around here anyway , and to think that like a year ago, every day there was A LOT of activity on the forums

Well i´m not trying to take it away from other people of course, but the way I see it it can´t continue forever the EU, IT´S OK if you like that stuff, or anybody else, but it is TOO LONG, of course, The thing of imaginating a "fantastic universe" and stuff is ok, but soon or enough, it´ll have to end, and my point in making the topic was the "it is ever gonna end", or "how do you think it must end" or something And of course it gets boring if they add more and more crap to the saga, that´s the way I SEE IT, not trying to make other persons see it the way I do, and every story has an ultimate ending, soon or enough it´ll have to end, it cant continue for 20 more years : No I didn´t know, but it is ok as i said before for some EU stuff to explain Somethings There are SO MANY THINGS happenin in the EU that it´s just confusing, (for those who dont read the books and stuff), now luke has a son that decades later has a son, and this son has another son, wow

oh Common, you are comparing our real existence universe with a FICTIONAL one, I mean, star wars is supposed to be a STORY, nothing more, and they keep adding more and more stuff going on, of course I'll never or we'll never say "oh I'm tired of our world to continue, it should end" or something like that, but is ridiculous that a story has such extended stuff, it's absurd, again, that's just me, or what?, should they continue until we have 80 years?, it's ok to have some games explain some stuff that happened between episodes, but it has gone to far (just like pokemon :) That's EXACTLY my point

Was REALLY bored last day, and so began reading stuff of characters, etc etc etc of the sw universe and expanded universe, and..... OMFG, that thing is HUMONGOUS, LONG, EXTEND, I know the stuff from the movies and a little of expanded universe, but that is ridiculous, I mean, common, they have stuff going on in like 150 Years after yavin.... they keep adding more and more things the the story, I think is FAR enough, all this ruins the saga, what you guys think?

yeah, maybe thats true, some people don't post just because they don't find nothing to talk now that almost all the eaw community is dead you know... but at least we're not completely dead, as it has been stated before, better 2 or 3 post, than 100 spam posts

Decided then ;D, I'll buy the XFX GeFore 7600 GT 256 mb, hope that with it I can run games with alll settings on max, and no lag

Found the 7600GT but with 256mb, the 7600GS is 512mb, is the GT still far better?

but it IS better than the radeon 9800pro, and this one could handle EaW perfectly, so I really don't see the problem, also been searching for reviews and all of them says that it can handle lot of games in high with no lag...

Thanks for the info, alright, one last question, even the gs is not as fast as the gt, a Geforce 7600GS of 512mb is still capable of playing games like EaW, battlefield 2142, or CoH on the highest settings without lag?, and how will affect gaming that this card has only 128 bit?, what does this means?
