  1. hows this 3 ISDs, half weapons, damaged (not destroyed) weapons, half fighters, and an alliance fleet of 4 mon cals, full fighters and alliance version of interdictor, you are on the outskirts of a nebula, and there is a large gas giant not too far away, with planetary rings. Mercanaries might be hidding on one of the moons, but you dont know if they will help or not. what do you do ?
  2. they suk if you take them against ISDs, which they arent ment to do If you want the suncrusher (modders) you have to make it XWing/Tie Fighter vet - if you got pwned by Corvettes, I suggest you get back to the simulators
  3. Thats too easy to counter. Channeling all of your fighters down the middle makes it easy even for ISDs to blast them with concentrated fire while IMP bombers hit you from the outside. And there is no way in all 9 hells of Correlia that 2 Lancers and a corvet can defeat 4 ISDs, even if you fight them one at a time.
  4. no offense, but the SD commander woud have to be a dunce to barge in with 5 SDs, no fighter cover and no intelligence. Besides, a real commanders fighter would shred your bombers, that and a "huge" fleet isnt 5 SDs, thats not even a standard planetray assault group. Support ships /\ like he mentioned, for example anit fighter frigates will pwn your bombers unless your moncals come foreward to deal with them, and thus now he has drawn you towards his supperiour ISDs now thats what I call stratagem
  5. in an evenly matched conflict, there are 3 basic ways to ensure victory. 1-formations, a reverse bowl (similar to Bilbringi at end of Thrawns run for power) works nicely, if you can get it done early on. 2-reinforcements, he who has them shall hopefully win 3-3 to 1 odds. Yes its basically an even conflict, but get your ships in groups of 3 and concentrate fire on enemy ships. slow tactica at first, but once you get going, you will notice that your enemy seems to be running out of ships, and fast.
  6. using fleets against the DS is suicide, it waas designed against this. Henceforth the Empire will not see a small, one man fighter group to be of any significant threat. Red Squadron yes, but it cant just be o red squadrons here, the Ds is dead has to be someway, like roll the dice (figurativley) to see if they succedd or not, like in Rebellion.
  7. You know VSDs also have hyperspace ratings of 1, instead of 2 like most other capital ships, so they can keep up with fighters while jumping. The winglike protrusions on it are atmospheric stability fins, however we may not see it ingame in the atmosphere due to technical aspect of doing htat and depends on how flexible the game engine logic is
  8. Attacking the Interdictor while "avoiding" the ISDs wont work, they protect it. Use X Wings to keep enemy bomers back, while Home One and Y Wings run. If you have to, use the Ackbar slash against them. (and if you dont know what that is you need to get out more )
  9. You cant bankrupt theGalactic Empire one one 17 Kilometer ship. Excecutor was 17 K, Lusankya was 8, built at the same time, and all of this with the Second DS starting construction. As for taking out an ISD and SSD with one Mon Cal, Nebulon B, and 6 fighter squadrons....forget it. SSD broadsides will overload Mon Cal shields way too fast, ISD will engauge and make short work of the Nebulon B. Any ground bases High Velocity cannons (or wahtever from the new vids, where they took out hte space station) would be the best bet, unless you have a fleet in your pocket. and I thought the SSD's werent going to be ingame ??
  10. well this should be interesting ISDs are weak against TRD, so have the fighters out early for intercept. If Alliacne fighter become a problem, you can do 1 of 2 things Close with the cruiser, the enchanging fire will keep enemy fighters somewhat at bay (for fear fo being hit) or you can run and potshot until reinforcements arrive. In any case, give the Alliance some of their own medicine. Bombers go after Mon Cal, Interceptors after X and A Wings, let the Ties handle Y Wings If you happen to have Vader and the 181st, then have them waste the bombers (very quickly) or engauge any enemy hero units.
  11. Again, its similar to Battle Front 2 in that way, heroes just "Take a leave of absense" as for Red Squadron, its 18 X-Wings and 12 Y-Wings at Yavin
  12. Its similar to Battle Front 2, if you attack them, they will hurt you, and if you help them, they will help you. At least this is how I see it. Only on an RTS scale
  13. Read the first post, then go up to the next best thing
