  1. Im also done with school for a month starting today, so all i do is work at night. Im def available to start helping today since i have the most amount of time now
  2. yea it was when i was doing a light and material study, so i found the game box layout, the insert and used it as my map. Then created the box and tweak some settings to get the overall look. Was very early on lol but very useful
  3. Hi, id like to contribute if i can. First some backround on my , Im 23 i goto school at Illinois Institute of Art, BS in Game Art/Design Im concentrating on Level Design and Modeling. My experiance is in 3ds max 9, Unreal ED, Premiere and photoshop. I ahve some flash experiance but dislike it but could make buttons and such. I can model much that i come across and with an emphisis on keeping the poly count down, i am decent and textures but not my strongest point. I love Star Wars as well so it would be another plus, and i love SOSE. Im in Central time zone, Illinois. I work at night but if im given something to do i can do it because i will use it in my portfolio as well once i graduate.   4. I know how you feel, i was hoping the game would last months liek rome but, its already shelf material which sucks

  7. No it did not, i was hoping for a game that would last a while, but its just noth challenge and gets incredibly redunant so fast. I feel its shelf material already, why does this always happen with star wars games, just sta wars
  8. That grand stratagy is what alot of us were looking forward too, playing the game feels more like an arcade version of a game than a galactic conquest mode. I was hoping this game would last months, where a single camp could take weeks like in rome. I can beat anything on hard in a few hours. Ive already exhausted the game which blows

  10. Game wasnt as good as i was hoping for, its getting repetative already. Not enough variety with the units, and the maps are all increidibly similar. Cant wait for some mods.

  12. Thanks, i already know whats required of a designer. Im in school for it now, i was more looking at questions like how he broke into industry, where he started, what school, stuff that i cannot learn at school. Appreciate the reply tho

  18. You have to change, its called evolution. Without companies trying new things every RTS game will be the same just different units and theme's. New games are great because they change, without change we would experiance the same thing over and over. Like Delphi said whats the fun in that, it would be like cars never evolving or anything. technology advances because someone tried something different it is the basis for our society and our culture. Prop's to delphi and the petro team for doing something new to perhaps start a new genre or a new style of gaming. Hopfully i can join the team someday once i graduate

  23. I like the smuggling and spying aspect, and the map is set up very nice. I can see the game has alot more depth then the demo is offering. Cant wait, i also love the hard point damage, when something blows up it literally breaks off. Plus the cinimatic mode is cool
  24. yea tutorial wise you get both, but you only do what they say. Otherwise in the galactic conquest you only get rebels, its set up for only 1 space battle and 1 land
